  1. Just what the park needs, more inappropriate advertizing to ruin the atmosphere.
  2. I certainly hope they do not put it on the roof. That looks rediculous. The only place something like that would not look out of place would be the games area, and it would not do a whole lot of good there.
  3. I would replace some of the trees, add lots of flats, and call it The Enchanted Forest.
  4. It will probably not coma as a surprise to anyone, but I would love to see the Boardwalk shortened. I've always hated the fact that they built rides in the parking lot. I know it's cheap, but it shows. Cheap is not always best.
  5. I like the idea of adding effects. I think the "cardboard cutouts", however are very cheezy and I still think the whole theme is silly and inapropriate. They could have added music, flames, smoke, and buildings while keeping to the western theme of the area. If they wanted to re-theme a coaster for Superman's nemisis, why not Scream Machine, it's right next to Superman and could use some theming.
  6. Wow, I had no idea how old the park was. Makes me feel a little younger The Jack Rabbit there was the first roller coaster I ever rode as a child, and was scared to death of it. Now there's not a coaster in the world that can scare me. The company my mother worked for used to have their company picnics there every year.
  7. I think I'm missing something. Why exactly would this make me smile?
  8. "Bizarro" says it all. Are these people strung out on drugs? And is every Six Flags park going to have the same theming ( or lack thereof ) and the same rides? What a waste.
  9. This seems to be one of Six Flags' major problems; they do not figure regular maintenance into park budgets. They let rides, attractions, and builings deteriorate and then when they finally do fix them people act as if it is some "grand" act on their part and that finally performing maintenance that should have been done all along makes up for all the bad decisions and mistakes. I'm thrilled they are finally doing needed maintenance on a few rides, but I do not believe that makes up for all the things that have not been maintained, especially the ones that were so neglected they had to be removed or closed.
  10. This is GREAT news! I wish they could get the organ back from the collector that has it.
  11. I'll help them move it myself. Just to make sure they don't cut down any more trees to do it.
  12. That would be a really silly thing to do, and a waste of an opportunity.
  13. I was very pleased to see the theming of The Golden Kingdom. I thought it was a sign that they were finally going for quality theming. That is why I was excited to hear they were going to make major changes to Medusa. I thought they were finally going to theme it to fit where it was placed. I'm not sure now what they are doing.
  14. "Theme Parks" can be "Thrilling", while also being attractive. Roller coasters are twice as tall as trees and take up huge amounts of space. They "stand out" no matter what color they are. I was under the impression that Six Flags parks were "Theme Parks", or have they diluted the themes so much that they do not even claim to have themes anymore?
  15. It's great how Busch paints it's coasters to blend with their surroundings. This one has sky blue poles and ocean blue track. It makes them attractive. Why can't Six Flags do that instead of painting them neon colors that clash with each other and everything around them? Do they think people won't know they are there if they don't stick out like a sore thumb? I don't think anyone can miss Sea World's new coaster.
  16. I'm all for improving outdated attractions and using modern technology to enhance appeal. I just think they went in the wrong direction by inserting Disney characters, especially ones from outer space, into a ride about world harmony. Disney thrusts it's movies down your throat plenty, it isn't necessary to insert them into attractions that Walt himself didn't think they belonged.
  17. If they are reading this site, I'd like them to know that not everybody is happy about the return of the creepy old man. It says absolutely nothing about ANY of the Six Flags parks, let alone Great Adventure. Everyone raves about how great the advertizing campaigns of the nineties were and how great the current Busch campaigns are, and yet people are so excited about the return of a failed campaign that does nothing to promote the park or improve it's image. I don't get it.
  18. Where in the "world" is there mermaids and blue aliens? Seems like a lame plug for Disney branding in a place where it doesn't really fit.
  19. It came out on the year of the park's 20th anniversary?
  20. It just seems like they were finally going to make this coaster fit into the theme of the area it was placed in. It would be a real waste of an opportunity if they didn't do that.
