  1. I believe the 2014 Superbowl is slated to be @ Meadowlands.
  2. You are correct regarding Nitro; behind the scenes, certain things still refer to this near-theming.
  3. Fairy Tale Forest (1957) and The Gingerbread Castle (1930) were my two favorite places as a small child. Some time in the early 80's, Fairy Tale Forest changed hands for the first of many times; the majority of the land is now storage units. The Gingerbread Castle closed for the first time around 1976-78. New owners attempted to reopen it in 1988, but it didn't last very long... Flyin' Phil has photographed both parks; they are on the list of defunct parks on the right: Flyin' Phil's Photos Both parks had small train rides. Fairytale Forest also had a few small flats: a carousel, fire engines and kiddie swings...
  4. ^Amen to that! And to get into the park, you pass at LEAST a few trash cans. The worst is when you see disposable diapers on the ground...
  5. You just have to watch out for the hard chocolate Nemos on top of the cupcakes.
  6. 1) This is getting off-topic. 2) That article is dated 3 1/2 years ago. Since then, I've vacationed there a number of times, sometimes spending the end of each night at Downtown Disney. Never have I seen a rough element there.
  7. I saw that, too; I just took it as making conversation.
  8. Because Spain and Dubai were never built; the question specifically asks for ones that did/do exist.
  9. Update from Screamscape: It's a shame they ripped out a LOT of charming things to put these areas in...
  10. I agree with you, but this thread is about the Great Escape.
  11. Do you have any pictures of it missing its letters? Last time I saw it, it was fine...
  12. The last of the really good shows were in 2006: Industrial Movement in Showcase and Welcome to the 60s in Liberty Square Gazebo...
  13. It's a Rockin' Tug about halfway between the portal and Johnny Rockets in Plaza del Carnaval; I'll try to find a picture.
  14. Given the park's history, they are necessary. They were installed there for a reason. Back on topic...
  15. I can't argue with you there; the double-dipping is completely unneccesary...
  16. As far as I know, the structure served double-duty as both station and queue house. Chill.
  17. (from the park's facebook pictures)
  18. Please us the existing thread found HERE.
