  1. On the flipside, they're a convenient way to get snaps of the park without bringing a full-on camera. But I totally agree that the electronic transition has made it a burden, I feel like I have to watch my phone battery or conserve it if I need to utilize my phone for reservations/food/map etc.
  2. Six Flags Mexico has added new Vekoma trains to their SLC:
  3. Looks like Hurricane Harbor is getting a large new family addition!
  4. Very sad day! At the least, I can hope that its replacement is a worthy one. I almost wish the Starflyer could be relocated to the Parachutes' former spot.
  5. When will we start to get more information on the park's plans for 2024? Maybe an official release in August?
  6. It would be nice if the Arena were to re-open, but a major roller coaster located in Frontier Adventures could add a lot of life to that area. I notice that corner of the park is usually quiet, with Medusa not getting much traffic either.
  7. That is another option! I think a custom coaster could be squeezed into a few different locations with some creativity. Regarding the Northern Star Arena, I think it was being removed if I'm not mistaken? I remember the front being boarded up, but I don't have any further information.
  8. It's tough to get disappointed with Six Flags (especially any of the parks that have added a coaster in recent years) when some of the Cedar Fair parks are entirely neglected from receiving new attractions.
  9. Hopefully it is true, which means that the next roller coaster is going to be Goliath to use that sign.
  10. Apparently it is keeping the Nitro theme and being painted blue with grey supports? I cannot keep up with the amount of rumors and speculation, but it is entertaining.
  11. It's not like anyone here has a choice, people are just averse to change in general.
  12. Welcome to Six Flags Edit: Just joking around, @29yrswithaGApass has had a pass longer than I've been alive! I agree on this entirely, it's a shame that it comes to this but we take what we get at this point.
  13. 2024 should be big if the park has been so focused on its TLC! I'm expecting either a major flat ride, or a new coaster - location: the former site of the Northern Star Arena. I'm honestly not sure what it could be, but there's plenty of guesses to make.
  14. Everyone's knee-jerk reaction is to be upset that Nitro's theme is leaving, but people will come around to it. If it means breathing life into the ride, then so be it (yes, I know there's ways to do that while keeping the theme, but that's not as marketable in their eyes - completely understandable IMO).
  15. I am starting to come around to the bright green/blue color scheme, it definitely has an "electric" look. Also, the signage from Goliath at SFNE looks pretty nice; I think the change will be welcomed a lot better when people see a shiny hyper coaster!
  16. Hopefully in 2023 the park receives some TLC (maybe some re-paints?!) and then for 2024, a big celebration and a major attraction for the park's 50th anniversary!
  17. That is unfortunate! Green Lantern is actually pretty fun during HITP, it doesn't run as fast so I remember it making the ride feel a bit more comfortable and less bangy. Just have to be able to tolerate those icy winds on your face as you stand through all the inversions!
  18. I am just curious, Jersey Devil is open for HITP right? On the map, when I didn't see its logo there, I assumed it wasn't going to be open (since the other HITP coasters all had their logos visible on the map).
  19. Here's my wildcard guess! In 2024, the chain's second B&M dive machine is added into the area where the amphitheater once stood in Frontier Adventures. It wouldn't be too shocking, considering rides that are experimented in Fiesta Texas oft make their way to Great Adventure.
  20. Cyborg Cyber Spin has been removed from the website. edit: Sorry, I am confused based on something I just read, it reopened this year apparently.
  21. Not every ride can last forever, there comes a service life for everything. I like Mine Train too, but I'm talking down the line.
  22. If the TrailRunner does get used to replace old mine trains, wouldn't it be pretty cool to see it replace Runaway Mine Train? That would be pretty neat to have a park with multiple single rail coasters. Edit: Just heard about the Racing P'Sghetti Bowl coaster SFFT is getting in 2023, I guess they are going to have multiple single rail coasters in one park!
  23. I remember thinking that Great Adventure was going to purchase this ride and add it somewhere, but it has ended up in Sweden: https://rcdb.com/3510.htm
