  1. Yes, its Chang from Kentucky Kingdom, though officials will never come right out and say it.
  2. This is about the only thing I like with new management, the new commercials.
  3. To bad Spiderman's a Marvel character.
  4. And we've got out second Green Lantern On the Facebook page when asked about Nightwing: And whats Hangar 18 all about? Sounds like part of the GL plot? Say what you want about mouse coasters. But I am excited. At first I was unsure of it but now I'm thinking they could do a lot with this.
  5. ^I think you're in for a surprise then. It's going to be a great movie and its set up to be like the newer Batman movies, where the first one is the origin, ect. I can't tell from the pictures, but is the track the same exact color as Ka? Some pieces look darker than others so I can't really tell.
  6. Green Lantern fits the Boardwalk/Airforce base theme already. Most of the movie takes place either in space, at an airforce base, or "Coast City" which is like LA/Venice beach/The Jersey shore except in DC comic world. Can we wait until you see how they actually theme the coaster and its surroundings before we start complaining about it.
  7. ^Theres a rough draft of the script floating around on the internet and I skimmed it briefly last night. After reading wikipedia, the black Green Lantern is John Stewart and the white Green Lantern is Hal Jordan, who is the one the movie is about. John Stewart is the current Green Lantern or something like that. I don't know its confusing.
  8. You hadn't heard of Green Lantern? He's one of the more popular DC characters even though he never got any movies. I think his powers are pretty awesome. The main villain in the movie is Parallax, I thought it would have been Sinestro but it looks like thats for a second movie. I don't know how they're going to theme it though... I think it will be themed to Green Lantern's first flight to the plantet Oa after he gets the ring, I did some research. Planet Oa looks like Emerald City.
  9. I voted No, for how they're running the company, and Not sure for the out look of 2011. It's to early to tell right now.
  10. Whats going to be cut next, the weakest parks? I can see SFA and TGE getting dropped seeing as they're receiving nothing for 2011. Milk out the season pass sales and get what they can out of Fright Fest. Announce that they're being sold and that people can get a season pass refund or use them at other parks, pray that people don't go for the refund. Win for Six Flags, they just eliminated they're weakest parks and got some cash out of it. Who knows maybe they could get some flats out of the parks.
  11. Well since you're putting it like that, then it does stink for the people who got laid off. Hasn't this been going on since summer though, but this is just the biggest? If I was in this situation I would say screw you SF and find a job somewhere else. Who's missing Shapiro?
  12. ^The cows, the horses, and the wagons are enough to make it work. WHen the ray hit GAdv it transformed that little section of Frontier Adventures got ripped out, per se, and its now Bizarro's world. Didn't you read the story boards? And anyways, when you walk under that entrance portal your not on Earth anymore, thats Htrae. So yes, in my minds Bizarro's theme does work. Sure its a stretch, but its less of a stretch than Medusa.
  13. QUOTE(Yoshi @ Sep 23 2010, 01:52 AM) It's almost starting to become a daily update of what they are cutting back with next. I know. It should probably have its own thread. This doesn't seem to, to bad. Al Weber made it seem like it was all for the better in the letter. Lets see how it goes.
  14. ^It wasn't for professionals, it was for high school and middle school students. That would have been awesome to do.
  15. We know Funatics won't be back next year either. http://twitter.com/SixFlags/status/25057543818 Another cut to add to this list. Now why is it being cut? It has no reason to be cut, it kept people coming back to the park and rewarded them and made them feel special. I'm starting to hate SF right about now with all these unnescary cutbacks.
  16. Lol, Earth City was going to be the theme of the 5D? Sounds lame. Plus I heard it was going to be an up charge. Then I agree that Green Lantern is 1000x better.
  17. ^I don't think he can tell us. If he did he'd get in a lot of trouble probably. Shapiro stated he was going big many times, so who knows what he had planned, well a few people do but...
  18. ^Which is probably why SFNE's coaster isn't being announced with it's theme right now. I don't think its fair that new management only had a couple months to organize anything, I hope everything next year just doesn't feel thrown together. They should have kept old plans in place, whatever they may be, IMO.
  19. When I was on RCDB I thought it said Maurer Sohne. I've heard RRE was extremely rough at KK. Also I love how the PR people at SFNE have to lie, I know its there job but they aren't excited for this addition at all. Lol.
  20. The one at Funtown is a mirror I believe. RRE is one of the few mirrors of the model. I think its the same exact one thats at Hershey though. It will be good for the GP for a couple years but being next to Bizarro, I'm not sure what they will think. I just hope they theme it but not to Green Lantern. Also mrcreagle you forgot Thunderbolt for family coasters.
  21. QUOTEIn brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight Let those who worship evil's might, Beware my power... Green Lantern's light! Yeah SFNE had a corner of a gift shop decked out in Green Lantern merch. Something tells me either that mouse will be themed to Green Lantern (hope not), the rumors on Facebook are true and we got jipped out last minute, or they sent the stuff to the wrong park. (most plausible) I wanted to buy a Green Lantern shirt but they only had smaller sizes or baby onzies. Did they have all sorts of sizes at GAdv? Nice pictures BTW. Where is that bench and did it used to be used?
  22. He doesn't attract teenagers... How does an old man attract teenagers. Just wondering. When I see him in the park its always families taking pictures with him. They should keep him for the park experience and an ocasional ad but not use him all the time. He's the icon for the company. I don't think he's tacky at all or creepy. Little Six is creepy though. Bugs should be the overal spokes person in the commercial. They already started using him in the park. At the end of the day I noticed that they were cranking "We Like to Party on a Loop" and Bugs was spieling for people to get a season pass and wishing everyone to come back. All the characters were at the exit giving hi-fives and Mr. Six was taking pictures with everyone. I thought it was perfect.
  23. I didn't make a choice because I didn't know what to pick. I just don't think they should drop him. He's an icon. Everyone knows him. Keep him as a park icon but don't rely on him for full on commercials like Mark Shapiro was doing. That won't draw people to the park at all. Little Six was even worse. Mr. Six is good in the park. I like how Al Weber used him in the newer commercials with him just dancing at the end.
