  1. Absolutely amazing spotlight here. I really don't have much memory of the Boardwalk before it became the boardwalk, so it is really nice to see this look back at it. While I am no longer big into the carnival style games, I still do take some time to play a few during the summer, mainly towards the end of the season when I have gotten to do almost everything I wanted to ride and show wise, and have some extra time to enjoy the park. I do like to walk through the section, however, as it gives me that Jersey Shore feel to a certain degree. The amount of pictures that you guys have in this spotlight is amazing, and really helps to show the transitions and differences between the area's periods in great detail. It is amazing how much work went into a section of the park, that for the most part today seems like somewhat of simply some place they must walk though to get to Superman, The Golden Kingdom, or some of the other attractions at it's ends. Definately an outstanding spotlight once again by you guys. I can only imagine how much time and effort you had to put into this. Thanks
  2. Do you mind my asking what Rocky Point is? I am guessing it was a theme park but I have never heard of it before now.
  3. Too bad the previews just came out, marketing those two together would have been great I would think. The History Channel always does that type of thing where a big movie coming out has programming related to it on the History channel for like a good week. Having this program on during the premiere of the movie would have been golden marketing in my opinion.
  4. Tey showed a preview for it in the movie theatre we went to this weekend, and it looked both interesting, and also a little eery to be honest. I will definately be giving it a chance when it comes out that is for sure. I love abandoned buildings, but have never been to an abandoned amusement park that I can think of. My friends and I used to go to all those places from weird NJ and other sites that list them. I would really love to get into an amusement park which had been closed down for years, just to see what it is like inside after everything is gone.
  5. They're all good. I went with blockbuster because I already had the membership there so it was nice getting free in store rentals as well as the mailed ones.
  6. Awesome I have the blockbuster equivalent currently, and love all the classics I can get with no problem. I love a love of older stuff like Citizen Kane, Rear Window, and stuff like that so it makes my renting life that much easier.
  7. Independence Day Old Gladiators or New Gladiators?
  8. Haha nice... Rhyming definatelty wears out it's welcome after a short time haha... So what's good with everyone here?
  9. Very nice story. It's nice to see the animals today, but I think it would have been pretty interesting to see them back when the park opened and some of the animals were roaming more freely than they do now. It can be a little bit of a downer when the lions and such are just laying in the shade in the middle of a second enclosure because you don't get to really experience their grace and power. The Safari really is a park gem, and one I don't think enough people take advantage of when they are on park grounds.
  10. Never got on it. Something about the ride just never quite settled right with me. Now that it's gone though I wish I had tried it out.
  11. Absolutely amazing. Best of luck to you while you are out there.
  12. It really does have that good balance of a fun raft ride without getting wet to the point of discomfort. It's too bad it really is only operating through the summer because I would love to have a ride like that dressed up for Halloween or something.
  13. Gotta love those folks that make everyone else's life miserable. Just this past season we had a woman in front of us on a line for Nitro, completely by herself. When we got up to about where you begin to assend the stairs, five kids came walking up the side of the railing and climbed over to join her in line. Thankfully a minute later or so security came wlaking up an escorted all of them out of lin and who knows where to much applause from the rest of the line. I don't mind when people in a group send one person to go get a snack or to the bathroom or something because they were already there and simply hed to go somewhere, but it really does irk me when people try to save positions on a ride for large groups and expect the rest of us who were not able to do something else while waiting in line to be understanding.
