Even though, I have not experienced Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom yet, I can say that it will be in my top 5 things to do in my next visit. My top rides at Great Adventure are Nitro (my favorite coaster at GA), El Toro (my second favorite, but # 1 if this was March Madness), Kingda Ka (even though it is like a 30 second commercial, it's just a little too quick), Bizarro (underrated, but so cool at night), and the fifth one is tough to choose between Batman and Zumanjaro. Zumanjaro was on the Channel 11 News this morning.

It was definitely a pretty cool ride. I'll have to ride it a few more times to properly rank it, but as of now this would be the top 5.

5. Skyscreamer

4. Bizarro

3. Zumanjaro

2. Nitro

1. El Toro

Didn't make my top 5 but I don't have anything against it. Its not one of those rides that I would wait more than a few minutes for and I consider my top 5 to include that. I personally think the ride may have been a little over-hyped but I understand the park has to do what it has to do to get the guests in.

5. Batman the Ride

4. Bizarro

3. Kingda Ka (the launch still gets my adrenaline going more than just about any other coaster, even if the ride is short)

2. Nitro

1. El Toro

I haven't gotten to ride Zumanjaro yet though, once I ride it my rankings might change.

My Top 5...

1...El Toro

2...Nitro

3...Superman

4...Kingda Ka

5...Zumanjaro

My picks are based on having not to wait in a long line...

It would be different when going on a normal day when lines are longer on certain rides.

For example I love Superman but would not wait an hour for it. If Superman had an hour wait and Skull Mountain has a 10 minute wait, I would rather ride Skull Mountain 5 times than Superman once.

I haven't worked out which order i'd go on now. On a regualr day i'm thinking hit Kingda Ka first, then Zumanjaro, Superman, and Green Lantern. Those seem to have the longest waits. Even though I went on early and the line wasn't long, the wait for Zumanjaro wasn't bad. The line moved quickly. By the time I rode it twice, the line for Superman was at least 30min and Kingda ka looked pretty long also. It's hard to tell with Kingda Ka because you really can't see the line.

Ive rode one of the many "Drop Tower" drop towers at Cedar Fair parks and it was 230 feet and it was terrifying. I hadn't rode Zumanjaro yet even though I had the chance to because it was late and I had just waited 2 hours for Kingda Ka. But the concept of a 415 foot drop tower is crazy. I hope I get to ride it soon :)

I'm terrified of heights and drop towers but I still ride them. And the funny thing is that I prefer Zumanjaro over other drop towers. I believe that it's because when going up, it's in relationship to Kingda Ka which is huge and long in lengTh so when looking forward I don't feel as high up. And the drop does not seem as bad either.

He is pretty much right. Like I said before I hate heights and drops but everytime i'm at the park I go on it thinking that this is the time that the ride will get to me. The last few times when it dropped I would look at one of my kids to see there expressions (my daughter loves heights and my son is like me--- he hesitates on going on but convinces himself to do so) and they both say the same thing that it's not as bad as other drop towers. I believe since it's a longer drop, the initial drop sensation catches up to you so it does not feel like your stomach is in your throat.
