I Have No Name
3 hours ago, 29yrswithaGApass said: I like that ride and I hope they don’t get rid of it. The scariest thing for me about Batwing is that you don’t really know whether all is safe with the restraints until the train flips upside down at the top of the lift and everyone’s weight is put on the devices at which point it’s too late if it fails. It's unique for sure. One thing I don't like about it is laying on your back when it's going up the lift hill; because of the sun you really can't open your eyes. I do know that Vekoma no longer makes replacement parts for the Flying Dutchman model, so that could be a reason why it may go away.
Medusa42
Wild Speculation Warning: Due to the repaint of Pandemonium, I think Catwoman Whip at SFOT will be relocated to another park for 2022. This ride is next to an empty piece of land that will eventually be used for a new attraction and this would free up more space. This is the only 48 person Zamperla Endeavour built and would be a good fit at one of the larger parks in the chain. Pandemonium at SFOT is being repainted the same colors as the Catwoman rides at SFOG and SFStL. Medusa42
Six Flags Great America: V2 is becoming The Flash for 2022. Image source: http://www.facebook.com/jiggidyndg I am hoping to see a Zamperla Giga Discovery replace the Yankee Clipper flume and a retheme of Whirligig to DC SUPER VILLAINS Swing. SkyHigh Coasters, the company that does most ride installations and some ride removals for the park, posted a picture from Logger's Run that was taken on Sept 10th. Medusa42
Magic Mountain: Quote The Tallest and Longest Single-rail Coaster on the Planet! Taking Flight Summer 2022 Six Flags Magic Mountain’s record 20th coaster—the most at any theme park in the world—WONDER WOMAN™ Flight of Courage will debut Summer 2022 as the tallest and longest single-rail coaster on the planet. Riders will fly single file through the sky over 3,300 feet of track, towering 13 stories and soaring at speeds up to 58 miles-per-hour. WONDER WOMAN™ Flight of Courage will be located in the six-acre DC UNIVERSE™ area of the park, which will be expanded and entirely remodeled to include a new, innovative restaurant and bar experience, plus retail locations featuring exclusive DC branded merchandise. WONDER WOMAN™ Flight of Courage exemplifies the Super Hero’s traits of strength and speed—showcasing the legacy of WONDER WOMAN™ herself. As guests enter the ride queue, influenced by Greek architecture and featuring tropical landscaping, they will be immersed in the story of her life and how she obtained her super powers. Riders will join forces with WONDER WOMAN™ in the fight for truth, justice, and equality, to embark on an incredible journey of heroic feats, propelling through dives, banks, rolls, and turns designed to challenge the bravest of thrill seekers. The newly-themed DC UNIVERSE™ area also includes the popular BATMAN™ The Ride and several other DC themed rides. https://www.sixflags.com/magicmountain/attractions/wonder-woman-flight-of-courage The current rumor for Magic Mountain is that they will have 20 coasters in 2022, 19 coasters in 2023, and 20 coasters in 2024. An older coaster (possibly Viper) will be leaving to make room for a new B&M.

29yrswithaGApass
There are a lot of Six Flags parks without anything confirmed for 2022. I wonder how many just haven’t made announcements yet and how many are going without anything new.
Medusa42
It's not confirmed, but I think SFGAm is retheming Yankee Harbor for Batman The Ride's 30th birthday. (V2 rethemed to The Flash, Whirligig rethemed to DC Super Villians Swing, and Yankee Clipper rethemed to Aquaman. It will be interesting to see if Roaring Rapids goes back to its original name (White Water Rampage) as part of the ride renovation. Maybe a Mardi Gras themed name, such as Ragin' Cajun Rapids would fit that area better.
29yrswithaGApass
It’s going to be hard to promote higher ticket/passes at some of the parks without offering any new rides or experiences.
GAcoaster
It does sound like most (if not all) parks are getting improved entry experiences as well as upgrades to restrooms and food inside the parks. They'll go a long way to KEEP guests but not necessarily to draw them in.

Medusa42
Vipère was cancelled at La Ronde. Quote Questioned by Narcity in view of the new season, the La Ronde team confirmed that after having encountered several difficulties related to the current health situation, the new roller coaster will not see the light of day: “Due to the current context which affects several companies, we are reassessing all our long-term projects. Thus, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the construction of "Viper", the roller coaster we had planned for the 2020 season." "We thank our visitors for their understanding as we continue to work hard to provide them with the best experience in these ever-changing circumstances," the theme park added. https://www-narcity-com.translate.goog/fr/montreal/la-ronde-donne-des-nouvelles-de-la-montagne-russe-vipere-qui-devait-ouvrir-en-2020?_x_tr_sl=fr&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en&_x_tr_pto=sc https://www.narcity.com/fr/montreal/la-ronde-donne-des-nouvelles-de-la-montagne-russe-vipere-qui-devait-ouvrir-en-2020
29yrswithaGApass
It has been several months now and not many positive things have been announced as to what is in store for Six Flags under the new CEO. Usually we hear some boiler plate plans soon after new management steps in but so far we’ve only heard of cancelled plans and raising prices. How about some good news! This isn’t unique to Six Flags but it seems COVID is going to be the excuse, I mean reason, for charging more for less for years to come. Yoshi
It looks like SFFT's new coaster will use the same locker setup as Velocicoaster. 29yrswithaGApass
If I had to guess the majority of improvements have been put on hold, at least until the end of the quarter. At the park the Barnstormer construction is idle as well as other things including even the animal shed replacement in the Safari which burned last season. It is scary to look at the GA app and see that wait times only exist for about three rides with 10 minutes each. The rest are all zero for five minutes. After all this is the peak summer season.
