  1. What if Great Adv. built a full-circuit sky ride with 4 stations like Disney is now doing in Orlando? One station could be in the waterpark, another could be in either the safari or next to Medusa/Bizarro, and a third in Congo Rapids' "infield".
  2. What if Great Adv. bought up either Timberland Lake or Crystal Springs Campground and added cabins?
  3. The only dollar amount I ever heard was in regards to SFA's Wild One back when it was taken from Boston.Supposedly Wild One was bought for only $50,000;after they moved it,fixed/repainted it and rebuild it the total was around $1 million.Back then(1986) a coaster of similar size would have easily been $3 or 4 million brand new.
  4. Now that Ringling Bros. is going out of business, what if they opened a Circus Circus-style hotel and casino at Great Adv.?That way Great Adv. gets a hotel and Ringling gets to keep doing elephant shows without annoying PETA.
  5. I know Warner LeRoy wanted hotels on-site,and people online have asked about it,but I'm surprised that SF had approval for one back in 1998 and didn't follow through.Did Medusa and Hurricane Harbour take it's place? And how about Great Adv. leasing out space on-site to an outside party?
  6. If Great Adv. converted Hurricane Harbor into an indoor park with hotel they could do all sorts of things during the off season:showing movies in the wave pool, building a swim-up bar for adults, special packages for New Year's,Valentine's Day and Spring Break.
  7. That's what makes a monorail a more logical choice:it passes over every thing. They could put the central station at the new park entrance they wanted to build a long time ago and another station where the giant teepee/conestoga wagon was.
  8. One possible solution would be to build a hotel in the Hurricane Harbor parking lot and then build a dome over the waterpark itself;if they start now it could be ready by Great Adv.'s 45th anniversary in 2019.
  9. Seeing those construction photos reminds me of how loud the launches where-especially on the exit ramp.
  10. Since they resurrected the "Mad Max" movies, what about a stunt show themed after Thunderdome? It could be a futuristic version of Medieval Times-instead of fighting to the death, teams of "biker gangs" face off in crazy motorcycle stunts and parkour-style races among the "ruins".
  11. I voted for Green Lantern, mostly because stand-ups really don't interest me(especially recycled ones) and they removed GASM for it. And is there any way for them to remove the coaster part of The Dark Knight and replace it with a better version?I love the pre-show but the ride itself is a letdown.
  12. Whatever is done-plaque or statue-it should go near the fountain and be dedicated on July 4 2019(Great Adv.'s 45 anniversary).
  13. I think Tilt-A-Whirls could make a comeback just like the flying scooters did;it could possibly be called "Spinsanity".
  14. What if Great Adv. had New Year's Eve be a special-ticket/upcharge event?People would pay like $5 over the regular ticket price and the park would open at like 5 PM.
  15. I'm surprised they haven't done it already.I think it would be cool for the flower design to be outlined in LED chaser lights!
  16. Would Great Adv. and SF in general ever consider having a buffet or waitress-service type place? If Las Vegas and Atlantic City could make "chump change" off buffets I think SF could too.
  17. Two things Great Adv. could do with a little effort(and probably a huge profit in return): 1-Have music appropriate to each area, like country/bluegrass music for Frontier Adventures and Spanish music/Latin Jazz around Plaza Del Carnivale.Six Flags could partner with a "royalty free music"company to do this. 2-Have uniforms appropriate to each area.Once again for Frontier Adventures it's easy:everyone dresses in denim outfits, like overalls or button-down shirts. What's even better is that some uniform companies could customize the denim outfits for seasonal events:blue denim for spring/summer,black denim for Halloween, and green or red denim for HITP.
  18. Maybe they could make New Year's Eve a special-ticket event:everyone including season pass holders would have to get tickets in advance. The upcharge for the New Year's event could be anywhere from $5 on up depending on rides and entertainment available. The park itself wouldn't open until like 5 PM and of course there would be a massive fireworks display at midnight.Great Adv. could also try to get special headliner musical acts to perform in the arena as a "one night only" type thing-such as Bon Jovi &Def Leppard,Mariah Carey & Janet Jackson etc. .
  19. How about a KD Scooby-Doo style woodie but themed after Road Runner or the Tasmanian Devil?
  20. Maybe they could build a bronze statue of Warner LeRoy and put it somewhere between the sky ride and Giant Wheel since they are 2 of the remaining main attractions built during Warner's control of the park.
  21. Maybe for 2018 Great Adv. could build a new simulator near B:TR and call it something like "Warner Bros. Ultra Cinema".Basically it's a 5D cinema with movies specially made for Great Adv. and possibly other SF parks.Movie ideas could be "Halloween/Christmas/Spring Break Vacation" where Chevy Chase takes his kids/grandkids on a crazy trip or stories based on "Lethal Weapon" or "Gremlins".
  22. "....At the end of the day when everyone's fighting to leave we'll be the first ones out!And why?-We're the Griswolds!"
  23. Didn't one of the Disney parks try that recently?I don't think the turnout was as good as they were expecting...
  24. Looking at that old schedule makes me want to get a time machine so I can ride RT and LL until 2 in the morning!
  25. If Viper leaves SFMM I want them to rebuild it at SFA!!!
