I think the problem is that it's in a very "dead end" of the park;it was very popular the first few years but after Nitro,S:UF and Kingda Ka the crowds came less often.Maybe if Medusa/Bizarro had intertwined itself with another ride or if they used the empty spaces from the Giant Teepee and Conestoga Wagon to build flat rides(like even a simple tilt-a-whirl) more people would stay in that area longer.

I hope the actual ride is as good as the "artist rendering"-I like the idea of aiming at actual targets as well projected ones.

The only time so far that I've been stuck on a ride was way back in 2000,on Two-Face during Fright Fest.Basically the train went forward and then reverse,but coming into the station the train started to go back into the cobra roll before the brakes caught it.I was in the third row(second row facing forward)and I was facing upwards at like a 30/40 degree angle for about 10 minutes before the crew was able to roll the train back into the station.

I voted for an enterprise,rotor,tilt-a-whirl and scrambler,but Great Adv. could also use a DaVinci's Cradle/Falling Star ride and a Huss El Condor.

I've always referred to it as Great Adv. since that is it's "birth name". On a side note,I'm so old sometimes I still refer to my home park (SFA) as "Wild World" !!!

In that old MTV video,where the ride ops actually wearing some sort of tuxedo outfit? And what if B:TR was repainted blue like at SFOG or grey like at SFMM?

Summer is my favorite,despite the heat and crowds.Fall is a very close second,because it's cool to see the rides and walkways get Halloween makeovers.Springtime is okay with the nice weather and smaller crowds,but I have yet to go to ANY park during the winter-hopefully with SFA doing their own HITP I'll get the chance.

I wish that Great Adv. had left that spot open-it looks better that way!

If SF does build a Suicide Squad attraction,the most important thing is they get someone dressed like Harley Quinn !!!

Maybe the employee got it confused with XLR-8?That ride started with all-forward seating and then had the back half reversed.

Back in Sept. 2001 when they still had the Coaster Celebration backstage tours of GASM & RT,the subject of more wooden coasters for Great Adv. came up.The tour guide said that Great Adv. had been planning on another woodie,but was offered the first floorless (obviously Medusa)-which was built instead.

The article was interesting,but the end segment left me flabbergasted:did Warner LeRoy actually think he could build 12 more Great Adv.s?-especially since there was already 3 SFs,2 Disney parks,KI was building KD,BGW was about to open and Marriott was in the process of opening a chain of parks(that only amounted to 2)..... And the other thing that is stupefying is that the article is like "the park will succeed because there are few water fountains and they charge 40 cents for soda".And they wonder why people have hissy fits about paying $25 to park in a worn-out parking lot.....

Maybe Great Adv./SF could do like Cedar Fair did and have "secret rooms" in their haunts where you had to use a special upcharge "skeleton key".

Technically I think the park should get a monorail system that connect the ride park and HH,and also another one inside the park.However,it being actually built is a different story since SF management would start talking about "return of investment" ......

I say they should "tunnel off" the track of the Dark Knight as much as possible to make it seem like a real subway and have live actors dressed up as Batman & Joker jump out at people.And there should be a "skip the pre-show" entrance that I've heard is at the other Dark Knight location(not that I personally would use it). And how about adding animatronic animals or dinosaurs and fire effects to Congo River Rapids?

Some ideas for the anniversary of Fright Fest off the top of my head : 1-Keep the park open until midnight or later. 2-Get the Alice Cooper haunt to return or find a similar celebrity to endorse one. 3-Get the backwards train for B:TR again and theme the ride to "Man-Bat"-like a nightmare version of the character. 4-Have live actors hiding in Skull Mt. and The Dark Knight. 5-Have El Toro and Bizarro run backwards.

The main thing they should be concerned with is keeping the waterfall running!Other than that,I think they should add some black lights inside and possibly running the trains backwards.

SFA's Wild One will be turning 100 in 2017,but then again some of the track isn't original(some supports/trackage was damaged when the ride was SBNO).

I can't believe they finally got the waterfall to work!Did they finally bring back the music too?

They should have a super-sized "spaghetti bowl" after the top hat.

My opinion: ......rebuild Rolling Thunder with "topper track" ......have Intamin rebuild Chiller .......have Vekoma build a GASM-style coaster;it could even be a launched Rock-N-Roller Coaster-style ride,but with either 1950's hot rods or the Batmobile&Jokermobile.

I know there is at least one or two videos on YouTube under the title of "Cinema 180"-but they are on the "grainy" side of quality.

What if a Vekoma dueling LIM coaster was built in Chiller's spot?Basically like the Battlestar Galactica ride,but themed to something like Superman vs Batman?

I've heard that some parks in Europe have managed to do that-operate coasters very early/late in the season-but they had to have maintenance people/crews constantly checking the temperature and wheel assemblies;from my recollection the coldness freezes the oil in the trains' undercarriage.
