  1. Opening weekend is usually rough for the park operations wise. Employees are new and learning how to do their jobs, staffing is a problem on many days, etc.
  2. Opening weekend/Spring Break is rarely advertised around here.
  3. I'm glad they repaved the lot near the picnic groves. Usually I park in that lot about halfway between the preferred parking and the exit road and that lot was in the worst condition.
  4. I'm glad the Plymouth Rock Assurance sponsor is removed on the Northen Star Arena. It didn't look good having the arena have a sponsor take over and take away the western theme.
  5. I doubt it. But with these stores closing, I do feel that entertainment options could be feasible replacements like a Dave and Buster's.
  6. It seems that malls are declining in popularity because of online shopping or the lack of unique stores. Macy's just closed its stores in Voorhees/Echelon and Moorestown. JC Penney is closing in King of Prussia with the possibility of going into bankruptcy. This makes me wonder how the American Dream Meadowlands complex will do when it opens.
  7. I'm not planning on doing the water park. I don't really like water parks. Still deciding on whether I'm doing Reese's Challenge or not.
  8. I've heard and known about Fahrenheit and Laff Trakk's low capacity and long lines. While Great Bear and Skyrush have separate front row lines, I'm hoping they aren't an extra 15-20 minutes as I'm going on a Monday; maybe and extra 5 to maybe no more than ten minutes. I'm surprised to hear Sidewinder is one of the better Boomerangs as I usually don't hear a lot of good reviews on it. I may or may not ride it as it is a Boomerang and I'll end up riding two other Boomerangs this year as well as Goliath at Six Flags New England.
  9. So I'm going to Hersheypark for a class trip in early June. I know it'll not be very crowded as I'm going on a Monday. Hoping to get on all front rows for roller coasters. Any tips, advice, suggestions I should have before going?
  10. Theming props and the on-ride cameras on Batman the Ride and The Dark Knight Coaster.
  11. Universal Orlando has all guests park in a large parking garage near City Walk. Disneyland California also has one I believe.
  12. I'm surprised they own Sahara Sam's Oasis. I've visited that place several times before because I live near from the place. It looks like they also own Indiana Beach and Martin's Fantasy Island.
  13. It's a Small World is like the worst ride to get stuck on with the music being played on repeat. I wish the music automatically shut off when the ride breaks.
  14. It's been around for a few years. I don't know when it first came out though.
  15. Back on my birthday in October, the launch of Kingda Ka malfunctioned while we were on it leaving us stuck for a solid five minutes. The train was then sent backward to the unused station where we were evacuated and given the chance to wait until the ride was fixed.
  16. I went to the park in early November and a store near Kingda Ka had a clearance rack that sold merchandise from several years ago.
  17. I do the same thing where you pose for the cameras but don't buy the photo. If I end up getting the Season Photo Pass (only costs $30), I'll be able to save the on ride photos.
  18. The season passes increase in price during each sale. The cheapest the pass costs is around $64 during Labor Day. By Christmas, passes cost the same as a ticket at the gate at about $73. After Christmas, you're spending more than a regular ticket to buy a season pass. I spent $84 for my pass as well.
  19. Back around 2007, the park ran a $10 and under shop in Batman & Robin the Chiller's gift shop. They basically sold excess merchandise from prior seasons that wasn't sold.
  20. The other one is Co Co Keys in Mt. Laurel off the NJ Turnpike on Route 73. That place also has the Hotel ML attached making it a resort park, but it's not as big as the Great Wolf Lodge or Kalahari Water Resort in the Poconos. If you're referring to ones in New Jersey, Co Co Keys in Mt. Laurel and Sahara Sam's in West Berlin both off Route 73 are about an hour away from Great Adventure. The former has a hotel but the latter does not.
  21. It is an inconvenience when a park train ride crosses paths. A round trip train ride would end up being easier to build as it could go around the perimeter of Switlik Lake and pass near some safari enclosures. The problem is that it won't help guests get across the park.
  22. The Sky Ride also has a full queue most of the time. If you want to get to more rides faster, you're better off walking across the park instead of waiting 15-20 minutes to get across.
  23. I ended up taking a two year break from riding roller coasters because of that. Surprisingly, I rode Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida two days later and had no problems with whiplash. Maybe the way I rode Everest impacted my experience.
  24. I'm thinking Vallleyfair could end up getting a B&M, likely an inverted coaster. Michigan's Adventure could end up getting the Boomerang.
