  1. It's not summer so crowds are lower.
  2. There used to be one on The Dark Knight but they removed it because it was an unexpected flash.
  3. Saturday was a quiet day at the park due to the scattered showers. This was good because it was partly sunny in late afternoon. Most crowds came in school groups so a decent amount guests were unsupervised teenagers that would do some not so family friendly things from constant swearing to spitting on rides. Every line was a walk on except for Zumanjaro VR which was a 20 minute wait. The first thing I did was the Zumanjaro VR. This was my third VR experience and it was my favorite as well as the only VR that worked on me. I was actually expecting to hate the VR but I found the city atmosphere with giant spiders to be pretty good. I'd say I prefer the VR over the normal ride by a small margin. Then I rode El Toro twice. I rode in the front row and the fourth row. The next hour was spent getting as many rides on Nitro as possible. I was able to get in 11 rides, one of which was my 50th ride. After that I went to El Toro again and rode it 4 more times, then I went to Superman and rode in the back. I was going to ride Green Lantern next but I did Kingda Ka instead. I did the third row instead and it was a good move because the train after us had to be evacuated due to a launch malfunction. The rest of my day was spent riding El Toro. In total I rode El Toro 11 times today. I also have been on El Toro more than Nitro this year so far. I left the park after. It took an hour and a half to get home instead of just an hour becuse I took Route 537 through Burlington County and took other local roads as well. Nitro-11x El Toro-11x Kingda Ka-1x Superman-1x Zumamjaro-1x
  4. I'll try it once just to see the experience and not ride the ride until VR is gone.
  5. In school we watched an on ride video of Green Lantern because we were learning about energy in our science class.
  6. Hopefully Great Adventure doesn't close due to the weather.
  7. It's called the Sky Bar. The ones there usually don't have lines compared to the ones inside the Fresstyle building.
  8. During spring months most employees are still in school. However Great Adventure typically hires foreign exchange students to work there until the end of June.
  9. I like that Dorney now has metal detectors at the entrance. I think every park needs them.
  10. Hopefully not. I could expect the opening to be on time for Memorial Day weekend especially with the warmer than average winter we had.
  11. Well all non coaster attractions are flat rides but not all flats are thrill rides. I'd say that the park should build more family flats to round out the audience. They should do something similar to 2012 where they build one thrilling ride and build several smaller flat rides.
  12. And some roller coasters had their cameras removed this year, notably Bizarro.
  13. I think they did that because the fire departments aren't able to bring their trucks in the building and use a cherry picker to evacuate riders if a train stalling occurs.
  14. Plus the weather wouldn't affect the operations too much, therefore the chance of a train stalling on Flight of Fear would be less likely.
  15. Not that I know of. The one at Kings Island had a small electrical fire in 2014.
  16. Contractors are in place and working on Disney World's new gondola system It looks like Walt Disney World is planning on building an aerial gondola system (Skyway style ride) to transport guests between the Hollywood Studios and Epcot parks to select hotels. This one will have enclosed cabs to protect riders from bad weather unlike older ones built by Von Roll (such as the one found at Great Adventure).
  17. Went a few times last year during the summer where it would rain during the evening. I think one time I went on a Saturday in July where it rained around 6 and the whole park was dead the entire day. As it was a thunderstorm, all the outdoor rides were naturally closed. Back in June 2015, I went the Saturday before 4th of July weekend and it rained the whole day with no thunder and because of that, all rides had no wait.
  18. It usually depends on housing and taxes. Near Camden, towns like Lindenwold and Pennsauken attract rougher people due to the cheaper pricing of apartments but a town like Haddonfield or Collingswood (the latter is ironically directly next to Camden) is more classy with mostly large, 3 story homes.
  19. Unless if you go on a day where it might rain. The park is for the most part, dead on days that are not sunny.
  20. I don't get why most of these rougher areas are near African American majority towns. Down in the Baltimore-Washington DC area, most of the suburbs especially near the Capital Beltway and Six Flags America are African American majority but after visiting the area five times in 2 years, I found out that 80% of the suburbs there are nice, wealthy towns due to the government facilities there (Silver Spring, Bowie, Glen Burnie, New Carrollton, Landover, etc.).
  21. Even though its an hour and a half from Kings Dominion, Six Flags America has slow operations throughout. What would be a 5 minute wait for a roller coaster at most parks would be a 20 minute wait there. But to make it up, the employees are very nice and helpful with a positive attidude. I don't recommend riding the Mind Eraser and probably Roar.
  22. Last time I went to Sesame Place was about 10 years ago. I was about 4 years old at the time so I don't remember anything there (except for their roller coaster).
  23. I always expected Easter to be one of the busier days during Spring Break.
