  1. Mustang (even though I prefer Chevy over Ford) Viper or Corvette?
  2. I used it to get to Six Flags America in April because of work being done on the Delaware Memorial Bridge and there is minimal traffic. The only problem is that the lanes are narrow and there is no shoulders. The Walt Whitman Bridge isn't bad either, and is a good alternative to the Ben Franklin Bridge as that bridge gets backed up a lot. The only problem is that it is the nightmare known as the Schuylkill Expressway once it reaches Center City.
  3. While Disney's attendance may have decreased I could see an increase with the new additions they are adding to their parks in the next few years. Universal has also made some good additions such as the Harry Potter themed areas that attracted visitors. Magic Mountain typically has a significantly higher attendance than Great Adventure because they are open year round. Great America usually attracts the same amount of guests as Great Adventure even through they're only open for 6 months. . Sea World Orlando's attendance decline most likely has to do with the Blackfish Documentary that was somewhat against the park. Busch Gardens Williamsburg while not on the top 20 list gets a decent attendance - about the same as its competitor Kings Dominion with about 2-2.5 million visitors annually. The Busch Gardens parks are owned by Sea World. And Six Flags Mexico is the largest and by far the best park in Latin America which is a factor in attracting 2.5 million. It's also in Mexico City, the largest city in North America, which has a population of 14 million.
  4. If I were to go back, I'd rather take the Commodore Barry Bridge (which never has traffic) then take the Blue Route/ I-476 up to the Pennsylvania Turnpike from there. It may be out of the way but it's better than sitting in nightmare traffic with a decent chance of an accident on I-76.
  5. Yesterday, we had a school trip to Hersheypark. It was not too crowded with most guests being part of school groups. We didn't arrive until 11 because the traffic on the Schuylkill Expressway is always bad. The first thing I did was to wait out Skyrush in the front row which took about an hour. Unfortunately the rain caused the ride to close on my turn. Instead I headed over to Laff Trakk which had a 20 minute wait. It was a decent spinning coaster, the problem is the kids swearing on the ride. After lunch, I went to Comet because it was the first outdoor coaster to reopen. There was only a 5 to 10 minute wait and It rode in the front row. The Comet has some very good airtime and the best airtime I've had on a coaster so far. Next I did the Great Bear which reopened when i got there. I met up with a friend who waited a half hour for it to reopen so I only waited 10 minutes for the front. It was a good and unique ride but the ending was a bit dull. We then went to Fahrenheit which had a half hour wait. They were assigning rows and they gave us the back row. There was a bit of a rattle but it wasn't that bad, still a ride that's enjoyable. I headed over to Wildcat which had a two train wait for the front. It was smoother than what I expected. After that, I rode the Lightning Racer on both sides with each having no wait. I personally prefer the Red/Lightning side as I found it a bit smoother. I found out that Storm Runner reopened and the app said there was a half hour wait but when I went to the line it was about an hour. I decided not to ride and instead went to Skyrush which had a 10 minute wait. I was assigned the second row. It was a good ride but as everyone say, the lap bars hurt your thighs. After my first ride on Skyrush I rode the SooperDooperLooper in the front row. I like how the ride like many Schwarzkopfs has only a simple lap bar and goes through a loop. Plus it was very smooth for a 40 year old coaster. I ended the day with two more rides on Skyrush in the back and front row. I had a great day in the park and I hope to go back there soon to ride Storm Runner and other attractions. The only downside was the bus ride back in which this kid in front of me acted like an immature fool causing issues for other riders who sat in the back near him.
  6. The Boss (Bruce) Skyrush or Intimidator 305?

I'm not very sure but the hard over the shoulder restraints may have to do with the ride. Age probably doesn't have too much of an effect but the fact that Kingda Ka needs a repaint may be a factor.
  8. I do find food service at Great Adventure to be decent. The service at Hurricane Harbor NJ though is a nightmare. It's good that SFNE does a good job with landscaping and not let it look outdated or run down. I'll visit the park this summer so I'll try to get my opinion on it. And for Six Flags America in Maryland, operations for everything from rides to food are very slow but you can have a good day and be able to ride all the major coasters there any time you visit. The employees are very nice if you get to talk to them. Six Flags America I'd say is very similar to Dorney Park. Also try to avoid Route 3 in Maryland, it's a local and heavily congested road that takes about a half hour to get to Routes 50/301 from I-97 which is about 10 miles long.
  9. They weren't when I went on Saturday.
  10. The Crowder concert was some Christian concert. Ironically, he made the park crowded. I was at the park for most of the day as well.
  11. What day is better to visit Great Adventure this weekend: Saturday June 3 or Sunday June 4?
  12. My trip is on Monday and it's supposed to rain with a chance of thunder. What rides close for rain or thunder?
  13. It's probably also why many zoos aren't part of the AZA; they probably don't want to pay for it. I'm not sure if Six Flags would pay for such memberships for Great Adventure and Discovery Kingdom. Disney's Animal Kingdom is accredited by the AZA.
  14. There are YouTube videos of people getting thrown out and even banned for bringing cameras/phones on the rides. As far as I know, Great Adventure is the only park that ejects and bans guests for breaking the rules.
  15. Sidewinder at Hersheypark is a Boomerang coaster too.
  16. It's Sea Serpent at Morey's Piers. The Chick fil A in Voorhees also has the same sign when you enter their restaurant.
  17. I'm going as a school trip but we leave at 6. I hope I get the front row or best possible row on all major rides.
  18. How crowded could the park get on a Monday in June?
  19. Volcano the Blast Coaster at Kings Dominion didn't open until August 3, 1998. Falcon's Fury at Busch Gardens Tampa I believe didn't open until around Labor Day weekend.

How crowded will the park be this weekend? I'm expecting high crowds on Saturday and lower on Sunday.
  21. Is the state of New Jersey able to take action about the poison ivy growth?
  22. That was a problem on my last trip as well. It's also a problem during Fright Fest and days there are school trips. There was a middle school there that's from my area. The high school they feed into is pretty bad.
