I saw the LEDs themselves but the wheel wasn't lit up. The Cyber Cafe is open, only 6 computers or so and everytime I walked by I saw all of them in use. The line for food in there was huge, even at closing. I'm also glad the Log Flume is open this early. If it could have a 30 minute line on a cool day like today then that shows how popular it is. I'd even ride it in October (last year I know it was open until at least September 20th).

I originally wasn't going to the park today with a large group there today plus it being Spring Break for most schools but with the weather horrible for tomorrow and Wednesday, I decided to take a chance and go from 3:30 - 8:00. The lot was maybe 40% full, Superman appeared to have about a 20 minute wait looking at the line from the parking lot. I went to Nitro first, almost into the switchbacks but it was just under 20 minutes until security came up the ride exit with a photograph and pulled someone off the train, I guess they had a camera out or did something bad in the picture so that took a few extra minutes. While waiting for Nitro I saw that Batman was stuck on the lift for a little over 10 minutes. Nitro was amazing as always, it was nice to ride it again since November. The line moved very fast with 3 trains running. Skull Mountain was a station wait, Buccaneer had a long wait, Blackbeard's had a 2 train wait. You only get 1 lap this season instead of the 2 laps last season which is a shame since the ride is kind of short. I went to GASM next, the line was a little past the stairs. 10 minutes later I was in the station. On the next train, someone tried to get out of the restraint or wasn't restrained properly which caused the ride op to E-Stop the ride with the train not out of the station yet. They said it would only be a few minutes but close to 15 minutes later they were starting to unload the train in the station and the train on the brake run so I left. Superman was closed so I went to Rolling Thunder next. Also closed. RMT had a line going down the stairs and the log flume had what looked to be a 30 minute wait despite it being in the mid 50's. They skyride had just opened so I took it back over to Skull Mountain again, 2 train wait and I went to Nitro for 2 more rides, 15 minute waits each time. Batman looked to have close to a 30 minute line so I skipped it and went to TDK which only had about 10 people waiting outside the pre-show. 10 minutes went by and they didn't let anyone in even though the pre-show room was empty (I saw an employee walk out of the room and didn't see anyone else in there). It was 6:45 at this point so I went back to Frontier Adventures. The log flume still had a 10 minute wait but I decided to take a chance on getting soaked since I had a jacket on today. I didn't get that wet. RMT was a 1 train wait so I rode that and saw Rolling Thunder was still closed with the blue train in the station and the red train on the lift. Kingda Ka only had 2 trains running and looked to be at least 30 minutes so I skipped it, went back to GASM which was also a 1 train wait. The park was closing in 15 minutes so I finished the day at Superman. It had reopened and was a walk on. I got 5 rides in a row which was nice. Lines weren't as bad as I was expecting but I didn't get as many rides in as I normally do since it seemed like I spent more time than usual walking around I guess because some of the rides were closed or in the case with GASM, E-Stopped. I'm not saying it as a complaint, just mentioning what happened. Ride Count: Nitro - 3 Superman - 5 Skull Mountain - 2 Runaway Mine Train - 1 Blackbeard's Lost Treasure Train - 1 Great American Scream Machine - 1 Skyway - 1 Log Flume - 1

    Panorama Wheel

I'd be nervous enough riding in those cars without the cages but to spin in those cars without the cages would be very scary especially since I am tall.
  4. They are going to be there Sunday and Monday which is why I am not going Monday. I went on a day they were there last year and it was way too crowded. Nitro into the switchbacks, even GASM was close to 30 minutes! If it was crowded today, I guess it will be crowded the whole time during Spring Break week. My trip in 2007 during the week in April where the park was dead was just a fluke I guess.
  5. I thought no comapnies were going to be delisted at the current time? I guess they changed that.
  6. I did go to Family Fun Night last year. Like others, I called the park before I left to make sure the event was still going on and was told they were open for 5 - 10. I got there at 5:15 and stayed until closing at 7:30. Even though I had an awesome time since there was literally no one there, I still feel bad for everyone that showed up after the lot was closed or only got to get a few rides in before having to leave and wasn't happy about the way it was handled. The worst part was it wasn't even raining when the park closed.
  7. Looks like I am going to miss Family Fall Fun Night then. It's my birthday that day and as much as I want to be at the park, I'd rather spend the time with my family. Rise and Scream will definetly be useful for anyone going to the park on July 4th. I can't even imagine how crowded the park is going to be on that day especially with it being a Saturday.
  8. Great to see the Log Flume open so early in the season. I hope it is open tomorrow as well. Only thing that concerns me is those water cannons (depending on the temperature outside). After looking at the pictures I see the Log Flume sign no longer has the "this ride operates from Memorial Day to Labor Day only" sign next to it. I hope that means it will operate all of April and May and even some of September.
  9. I can't believe that Natural High t-shirt has Steel Force on it. That new fish arcade machine is cool. I tried it at Fantasy Island last year.

    Chaos

The restrction sign lists it as a high thrill along with Skull Mountain. edit - just went to the website. They must have changed it to Moderate for both rides for this season. Last season it both rides had high thrill listed at their entrances.

I saw the ride at Hershey and 1 look at it was enough for me to know I will never try it. It looks like it will make me sick. I also find it interesting that the ride info sign had it is a moderate ride when TDK is considered a high thrill. Chaos looks way more intense than a wild mouse.
  12. Yeah last year was amazing. Even with them letting the kids stay in the park I guess from Physics Day, it was so much fun. I rode Nitro 5 or 6 times in a row without leaving the train and my hands were starting to get numb. Even Kingda Ka was a walk on later in the night. I'm really looking forward to it again this year.
  13. Yes that would be great if it is like that for both days. I am planning on going Sunday but if they forecast rain, I might have to go Saturday (I have work on Saturday so I'd rather go on Sunday and not have to worry about leaving the park in order to get to work on time on Saturday)
  14. Good to know the park is open for SP holders on Easter. You can't bring non SP holders with you though right? I am planning on going to Hershey that day but if that doesn't work out, I would like to try to get to Great Adventure. For people who have gone in past years, is it that crowded? Last year when I was there the same day the group was there on a regular operating day it was very crowded.
  15. Journey Into Your Imagination was a disaster. I remember riding it on 2 different visits in 2000 and thinking how horrible it was and where was Figment? The newer Journey Into Your Imagination With Figment is a slight improvement but doesn't even compare to the original. I'd love to see them bring back Dreamfinder and the old ride. Sad how Future World isn't really anything like it was when Epcot first opened and how it was in the 80's and early 90's. World of Motion and Horizons are gone, Wonders of Life is gone, The Living Seas has been taken over by Pixar (yes it is nice to have a ride back in the pavillion but I hate those computer generated Nemo characters), Figment is ruined, Living With The Land is now automated and the old song is gone, Kitchen Kabaret/Food Rocks is gone. All that is left that hasn't changed that much is the Universe of Energy and Spaceship Earth (I know it got rennovated but from what I have seen it still the same type of ride experience).
  16. Great to see, the ride really needed it. I couldn't believe how bad the horses looked last season with the cracked and chip paint.
  17. Yes, this is very upsetting. I was hoping they would have gotten tons of complaints about the lockers (I sent a letter) and this is the opposite of what I wanted to happen (I wanted them removed not added to more rides).

The jets sprayed people for a short time at Dorney. They stopped it because there was a problem with it, something about the ride parts not supposed to be getting wet because that model wasn't designed to have water.
  19. Wow sounds like a lot of people showed up considering the park isn't that big (at least compared to other local parks like Hershey and Great Adventure). They probably need a lot of people for Haunt as well with more stuff being added this year.
  20. I agree with how the park has changed from bad to great. I didn't even visit the park in 2003, 2004, 2005 or 2006 (except the Safari in 2006 because of the free tickets giveaway and the Friday night Safari tickets could be used all season since the Safari was open on Friday night), because of the crazy lines, horrible condition of the park and too many closed rides. While I don't like a lot of the changes the new management has made including policies, the park is cleaner then ever and I was very surprised about how great operations were last year. I expected lines to be bad but with 3 trains running even when they weren't needed, lines were short for me all season (I avoided most of the summer and only went to Frightfest on Friday's and closing day).
  21. World of Motion was great, it was a long ride so it was a good way to relax and there was always so much to see. As much as I love Test Track, it's something everyone in my family can't ride compared to World of Motion which everyone could. That's why I was even more upset after World of Motion got removed for Test Track and Horizons for Mission Space. I won't even ride Mission Space because seeing the sample cabin right away was enough to know it wasn't for me. Plus World of Motion was always a walk on thanks to the high capacity compared to Test Track where unless you get to it early, even on a slow day it is a 40+ minute wait.

This is one ride I will never try. It is cool to watch but I don't like rides that either hold you upside down or continually flip you upside down (I can handle an Enterprise barely).
  23. Last year you needed Premium for Rise and Scream along with Coasters After Dark and Family Fall Fun Night
  24. I am REALLY regretting buying those shares of SIX yesterday. I hope they can get through this
