  1. RCDB,com does not consider "Ring of FIre" at Clementon Park a Rollercoaster so Gadv should not call this a coaster either. I don't mind getting this but I am starting to get concern on who makes all these decisions? After sending surveys asking what the general public wants, how did they come up with this "coaster", more cabanas at Hurricane Harbor and more Fright Fest (upcharge probably) attractions? Did anyone see those suggestions in the surveys? I'm sure they will announce Batman going backwards in the future... why else would they show 1993 backwards? Lightnin' Loops closed in 1992?
  2. Could not agree more! My wife has been to the park once this year to process her season pass. The park has reaally nothing for her since she does not ride most of the rollercoasters and some flats. At times I even get bored at the park and need a break. In fact so much so that we have gone alot less this year. We actually enjoy Six Flags America more just because of the layout of the park (with the water park inside) and the shows they have (even though its only 2) Great Adventure needs a stunt show again... Would like to see an FX show also. And bring back the dolphins!
  3. Just found out through twitter Hurricane Harbor will be open 4 additional days; Sept 2,3,6 and 7. Im glad because i am taking my kids to the Ride the Bull event on Sept 6th and it could be a good break to stop by HH for a few hours.
  4. So Six Flags gave him and his familty VIP passes and invited him back which is fine but now how many other people will try and wear somewhat offensive shirts to get media attention? I had no problem with that shirt... I have seem worse in the park... I just have a problem with people (both parties) and their poor attitudes.
  5. How crowded were the lines if you did not have the platinum flash pass. I have never bought one yet but was thinking about it if I ever got up the SFNE. Its just alittle too expensive for me with my 2 kids that would be going with me.
  6. My Top 5... 1...El Toro 2...Nitro 3...Superman 4...Kingda Ka 5...Zumanjaro My picks are based on having not to wait in a long line... It would be different when going on a normal day when lines are longer on certain rides. For example I love Superman but would not wait an hour for it. If Superman had an hour wait and Skull Mountain has a 10 minute wait, I would rather ride Skull Mountain 5 times than Superman once.
  7. ERT this Sunday? Where is this posted at?
  8. Does anyone know how to get more info about the event. I just purchased 3 tickets for myself and 2 kids and was trying to get an idea about what possible behind the scene tours they have or just any other useful info (where to meet?) etc... Its going to be our first time at an event like this. Tks
  9. I think i'm going to try this also. I m gonna sign up for the 6 month trial for myself and then i'm taking my 2 kids (14 and 16) with me. If we like it them i'm planning to the ACE family membership for all of us. Does anyone know who the 2nd group will be there also?
  10. Sunday was the same way, Got to the park at 10:00am, went right to Zumajaro and it did not open til 11:10am, Then went to El Toro (closed) and Bizarro (closed)...Even BTR was closed at one point but just opened up when we got there. Not a great day.
  11. I understand at times getting people out of the pool for training and checking for possible injuries/drownings but it seems that they keep people out of the wave pool for a long time. I know it not true but it seems the wave pool is empty the same amount of time that when people are in it. I know this it not true also but it seems they do it so people decide to get food and beverages.
  12. Was there last sunday and walked by it at 11:30. So I missed it but going again the sunday and will try and stop by with my kids
  13. I agree with the top 3 but I give 2 honorable mentions... Avalance... just because it's a rare ride and the second half is extremely fun and Flight of Fear...Even though its the same a Jokers Jinx at SFA, the 1st time I rode it I did not know which way I was going

I've done that a few times also. And I think its about the same amount of time. But since I have an EZ-pass I keep on forgetting about the tolls (until they take $70 out of my bank account every month!) I wish I can, but I close so it's very difficult. That's why I usually go on Sundays early

How far away are you from Gadv? I live in Hatboro PA so it takes me about 50 minutes to get there with no traffic. I want to try and go after work but I work til 6pm and even 45 minutes further away do I probably would not get there til 7:30. Don't know if its worth it then.
  16. I like water rides but dont want to get soaked and then walk around the park the rest of day like that. That's why I like the log flume because you can get wet but (probably) not soaked. The rapids is all on luck. You can get drenched or stay completely dry. They need to add something that can "mist" people while on a ride. Even if its a flat ride. Or even a pathway that has misters along in the trees with sprinklers and water spouts coming out of the ground. That way some people can get "moist" or "damp" while other people can get alittle more wet.
  17. I went alot in the mid 80's when I was living in Long Island and stayed a few days in the hotel alot of times when we went. Back then they used to have a package to stay in the Hotel and it included Action Park passes. Does anyone know if they still have packages like that? And what is the name of the hotel? Took my wife (girlfriend back then) in 1990 and have not been back since. Now I have a 16 and a 14 yr old who loves water parks and want to take them there like my parents did when I was a teenager. Thanks.
  18. Well I guess i'm going to miss it. Going to Gadv on Sunday for fathers day and then going to Virginia for vacation til June 29th.
  19. Got a message that KK will be open from this evening through monday for memorial day weekend. Too bad i'm taking my kids to AC and OC this weekend on a camping trip.
  20. You were right aboyut Gadv being crowded. Good choice on going to Dorney instead. I was going to ride a TR for Sunday the 18th, but it was such a horrible experience that I would be ranting and raving. One example... It seemed everyone brought a friend for free (including us) and the biometrics was working so poorly by the time I tried to use the Dining Pass, it said I was never in the park! By the time I went to Guess service and then a supervisor who hand wrote an OK to give me a lunch and dinner and then wait on line for an overcooked dried out burger...well... Even Houdini had the line out to the front entrance Wished we went to Dorney instead on Sunday. Sounded like you had a good time.
  21. I'm alittle confused with the map. It has four #13's for Harbor Slide Bar throughout the park??? Does not make sense unless you will have 4 places to get beer and wine???
  22. I have been there 3 times this year, twice on a saturday morning and once on a sunday morning and I have only seen 1 train running at that time. Have they started to use the 2nd train yet or do they wait til later on in the day to start using it?
  23. I cant remember but it was either Runaway Mine Train, Lightning Loops or Rolling Thunder. It was a long time ago!
  24. Congrats on riding El Toro. I'm the same way with that and Bizarro. I have always been able to ride but I have been on the border line and needed some assistance in locking in at times. Millenium Force at Cedar Point is also one that is tough for me.
  25. Its funny because I took the family to SFA last June and absolutely loved it. My wife does not like coasters while myself and my 2 kids do. But it had a nice stunt show (i know, alittle goofy-but entertaining) and the water park was inside the park. It did seem clean and people/employees seemed friendly and the atmosphere of the park was nice. It was a shame it started to rain at 4pm and did not let up so we went back to the hotel early and missed the EF show. But we did like the coasters for the most part (except MInd Eraser) and are planning to go back atleast a few times this year. But it could be because we are so used to Gadv that it was a nice change. It just seemed like a more "personal" park.
