GAcoaster
From Shane Huish of "Shane's Amusement Attic": I was so happy to see he got the old Rolling Thunder sign doing its full cycle! I loved watching that lightning blink and hearing the clap of thunder it made! I'm guessing this is 1983 since it has Freefall and Parachuter's Perch, but I didn't see Sarajevo Bobsled from the bunny hills at the end of RT. Check out all of his great Youtube videos which have a lot of classic theme park commercials and specials!
Yoshi
That old sign looks really cool, I wish they would have kept using it.

Railer
Very Cool find!!!! The old Rolling Thunder Sign is something I didn't realize how much I missed it, until seeing that video. I wish they would bring it back, but I know that will never happen, unless they did a major overhaul on the ride. Even then it would be a longshot for it to come back. mrceagle
Great find. Good seeing Rolling thunder. looks like it was somewhat smooth back in the 80's.
PaulieGBones
In the first video you can see the left side train is running backwards so I am guessing that the video was shot in 1984. Great videos. I love seeing this old stuff again.
gafreak
i always thought that the inside track of RT was faster, its lift hill motor definitly was. good to see that video of the enterprise lights also!
Great Adventurer
It's really too bad that they had to remove so many of those cool lighting features, and the effects on RT.
ThemeParkRider
At least we still have the ride, and I bet that if it was to get a rehab, all those great elements would be put in and then some...
CoasterPrince
It would be really nice to see a side on Rolling Thunder turned backwards again. That would be an exciting "new" ride.
29yrswithaGApass
I think you are right Paulie, I think it is from 1984 too. You can barely see the Rolling Thunder riders facing backwards, but the Ball Crawl that can be seen in the last turn of the ride place it in at least 1984.
