The Master
According to the SFGA web site, it now looks like Fright Fest won't start until October 8th. Well that sucks.
GAcoaster
That first weekend is usually pretty dead anyway. The only real problem I see with delaying the start of Fright Fest is the first weekend is when they work a lot of the bugs out. If they're doing that the next weekend now it could mean a lot more complaints since it's always a busy weekend for Columbus Day since most schools have the Monday off. Of course all of that can be thrown off completely by weather, so who knows?
The Master
With Weber cutting times back so much, I would not be surprised if he pushed back the season opening date for spring 2011.
Yoshi
I am worried about that too, I hope they don't go to a late April or early May opening. And on top of that, maybe they won't be open during the week during Spring Break or go to daily operations until after Memorial Day instead of the middle of May. GAcoaster
No, next season is a fresh start. I don't see anything changing about the opening day, and if anythign I'd expect to see MORE operating days.
acq10uaz
Weber is just saving money for 2011. Like GAcoaster said it will be a fresh start. You shouldn't be worried.
CoasterPrince
Eastern State Penn. was the scariest moment of my life. Just from waiting outside the entrance I almost died. Night of Terror in Mullica Hill, NJ was pretty good too. Jersey has some GREAT halloween attractions!
29yrswithaGApass
The electronic menu boards in the restaurants are promoting Fright Fest as "weekends in October". They really should change this if the Fright Fest is not going to start until October 8th.
gafreak
i was in the yum yum palace the other day and they had the fright fest ads running, the sound in there was awesome, gave me the chills and got me looking forward to the fall
The Master
The fall can take it's sweet time coming, I rather have the summer. FF is so weak anymore I no longer look forward to it. Edited August 13, 2010 by The Master

I'd rather have the summer too but I do like going to Friday night Frightfest's and getting a lot of coaster rides in. ThemeParkRider
As long as I can keep myself from wetting my pants, I'll be okay with Fright Fest (never works out anyway....just kidding). It does seem like Fright Fests are loosing their glow, they need one bigger attraction. (And I'm not neccessarily hinting at the Hayride)

29yrswithaGApass
I wonder where Zambora will call home this year being her old digs in the simulator theater building are under Funstruction this year.
Railer
Is the "Funstruction" still happening in there? When I last talked to Mark Kane he said it's not happening. They probably have it "half gutted" inside.
GAcoaster
There's still "other" work taking place inside the building...
warnerleroy
There's still "other" work taking place inside the building... what do you mean?
GAcoaster
I mean there are people who work in that building every day. It's being used for a number of things.
Railer
I hate it when you or Harry use the "wink" guy. Makes me want my own website so I am "in the know".

29yrswithaGApass
A friendly reminder to the park... Now that we once again have the blue and yellow banners outside all of the restroom facilities, I hope we see revised versions like the photo below for Fright Fest! It was such a nice touch!
