Yoshi Posted October 31, 2016 Report Share Posted October 31, 2016 Absolutely. Personally I think if this event grows over time the area you're suggesting is the logical area to expand it. El Toro has issues with cold temperatures and Kingda Ka and Zumanjaro are unreliable as anything but I would think Mine Train and Bizarro would have no issues with cold temperatures, the Safari is a great family ride and a great way to bring in crowds earlier and keep them in the park longer since it's normally a late arriving crowd (though obviously some animals like the cold more than others) and of course with increased crowds you would want increased capacity by adding a new kids area. Opening up to the Frontier area makes a good deal of sense. I don't see this happening this year or even next year but I could see the event growing over time. No mention of Sawmill Log Flume? Having Runaway Mine Train and Bizarro would be great. At parks where they care about temperature for the coasters, it seems like Arrow mine trains usually have the lowest requirements to run (Silver Dollar City is one park I can think of) and the fire from Bizarro would feel good in cold weather. LOL, I still think the "Yule Log Flume" is the best idea ever (and has a much better ring to it than "Holly Jolly Roger" and "Poinsettia Peak") but it's come to my attention that certain (see: boring) people don't see the appeal of riding a Log Flume in January when the water may or may not be a sheet of ice. In addition to lights on the Fort it appears that the wooded area to the right of Yum Yum Cafe will be getting some kind of attraction. I remember thinking last year that it would be cool to go on a round trip over the lights. This would be amazing and would really make Holiday in the Park much more enjoyable. I can believe this is true because as well as the floats being in the parking lot, there are Glow in the Park parade trash cans located around the park. The Master Posted November 7, 2016 Report Share Posted November 7, 2016 If it is the largest party then it is by being the busiest event but not by offering the most stuff. The Haunt at Dorney offers more Halloween stuff to do but it is less busy that GADV. Pics of KD's Haunt looks like it is bigger than and busier than Dorney's Haunt. For now I would say HITP is better done than FF, but I suspect that like FF, HITP will degrade over the years as the park puts less effort into it.
