More exclusive events, discounts, gifts, etc. Personally I think a special passholder ornament each year at Holiday in the Park would be a great perk. Also get in 30 minutes early on Fright Fest Saturdays or during the week? PS, What do you all think about raising the Season Pass to $80 per person and $140 for a Combo? I don't know about GAdv but GAm is busting at the seems with passholders. You can especially tell at the food lines. Rather than additional perks I would like to see season pass appreciation events. Offer an extended Coasters After Dark with maybe a live band in the gazebo, free game plays, preferred parking, and some small give aways like a pin, button, or "Super Season Pass Holder" cape. Also, offer something that has never been offered - Season Pass Night Celebration at Hurricane Harbor. Those were some of my favorite park trips of the season knowing you could basically ride as much as you wanted with some 5 to 10 minute waits and usually walk ons. And if they do add Coasters After Dark, I might see them do a bring a friend discount day to make some money however that will bring more crowds. The baff days are a waste, the park gets so crowded youd have to be nuts to go to the park. The only thing id like to see added would be what like cf does. A perk I would love as a pass holder would be to be able to buy a generic pass that I can use for anyone. It would be linked to a pass so it couldn't be used without the pass holder being there. We've never had season passes and have only sporadically attended SFGA over the last several years, and mostly during FF and HITP due to my daughter getting free tickets when she worked there. However, we both have more time now to go (including weekdays), and it is only 30 minutes away. and in the long run it will be cheaper than losing money at the casinos...LOL. 1) The SFGA site lists the price at $83.99, but I've seen people post here much cheaper prices. Do you have to pay tax and any fees on top of that price? Is there any way to get a cheaper price than the $84 listed? 2) With a season pass, the SFGA site says you get $300 in benefits, including passes for friends on certain days. Nowhere could I find out how many passes you get, and the days they are valid for their attendance. I assume not during peak season, or on weekends or holidays? 3) Membership passes at $7 a month seems like a bargain, but it said you have to sign up for a minimum of 12 months. Which ends up as being the same as a season pass. I don't really want to be paying a monthly fee even when the park is closed during the offeason. 4) Are any of the meal plans worth it? It lists the price as $94/person, but says you get a lunch, dinner and drink every day you attend. Is there a limit to how many days you can get these meals. I figured if I spent $15 a day on meals/drinks, then I'd need to go 6 times to make it pay for itself. Less times if you spend more for food on average. I'm not sure if we'd get there 6 times or not. 5) Is the season pass a physical lanyard tag with your photo on it, or is it something you show electronically on your cell phone? What about the parking pass? Can you upgrade in order to park close to the entrance? 6) Are concerts included in the season passes, or are those a separate admission ticket? 7) Any other experiences or feedback on this topic would be much appreciated! They are usually $64, without tax, and include admission for the rest of the current year (Sept. to Jan.) and all of the next year (~March to Jan). If you buy online, there is an additional processing fee per pass. ... 3) Membership does come out to the same as a season pass. The benefit is that your monthly price *should* not increase, and you don't have to re-process a new pass each year. It just continues to work until you stop paying. Also, I'm not sure if you saw yet, but there is a $20 safety deposit you have to give to get the lowest monthly price. You'll get that back when you cancel, but otherwise they'll make you pay a higher price to avoid the safety deposit.It's also worth noting that even though Great Adventure is closed for a few months, a few of their other parks are open year-round, or at least longer than GAdv. Your pass works at all SF parks. The sale pricing for this works the same as a normal season pass; it always adds up to equal the current cost of the equivalent season pass. So, you'll also get a lower monthly payment if you buy membership in September when it's about $5.30/month. 4) Meal plans are incredibly worth it. I know $15 per visit sounds like what you'd like to spend (or maybe what you currently spend), but one meal is around $11 - $13, and a snack can be $3 - $6, not including any drinks. So that's $25 - $32 worth of food that you're getting for free each visit, per person. The included unlimited refill souvenir bottle I believe is around $30 if bought separately. We're trying to decide if the meal plan is worth it to us, because we live only 30 minutes away. So we could just visit for a few hours and not eat or drink much in the park, or get the meal plan, stay longer, and make full use of the plan. But for the two of us it would be about a $350 investment for season pass and meal plan. I've never visited SFGA more than twice in a year, so we'd be in new territory as repeat attendees.
