  1. Does anyone know if I can change a membership from one person to another person? Right now I have 4 under my name and there are reasons I don't want to just cancel it and then add a new one to my name. I think it would change my monthly pricing.
  2. I purchased mine at Gadv last year and my daughter and I used it at SFNE in September so yes you were able to (at least last year).
  3. I have an office in my house that has nothing but pictures of us at many amusement parks (Gadv, CP, Hershey, KI, KD, etc...) and most of them are "on ride photos"... I probably have 40 of them in frames with over 1/2 of "on ride photos" I just have to take them out of the frames and scan them. The Gadv ones I have are (i believe..) 3 of GASM, 3 of El Toro, 3 of KK, 2 of TDK, 1 Log Flume, 1 Bizarro, 1 Medusa, 1 Nitro I could have more I have not hung yet.
  4. They do have a shuttle bus that goes from the front of the park to the water park to the parking lot where parents can drop and pick up their kids. We have used it a few times.
  5. The only thing I really enjoyed was Cyber Space Mountain. It was fun building your own coaster and then ride it. Of course had to make it the most intense (I believe they rated the coaster thrill level 1-5, but not sure).
  6. Well I am doing the "lose weight and get in better shape". This time I signed up for Weight Watchers online. It worked when I lost weight when turning 40 so now i'm doing it before I hit 50. Need to lose 25-30 lbs in 4 months. My second is being nicer to my wife (but I don't think I can keep that resolution since we have been married for almost 22 years and been with her since 1987)
  7. The good old days. Ride a coaster, watch a show ride a coaster, watch a show... etc... That will keep you in the park from opening to close. I would be happy with just 1/2 the line up now.
  8. Rode that with my daughter at Coney Island this year... Nice ride but I do like Enterprise better since you ride with someone in the same car
  9. That was a smart move keeping your NES system. I wish that I did that... Along with my XBOX, Turbografx, 3DO, and SNES
  10. Anyone picked up a Nintendo Classic NES yet?
  11. I am sure I did. It is probably packed away with some of our old pics from back in the day. I do know we also had one made from Busch Gardens Williamsburg in 1988
  12. I have known my wife long before you were born... I have even taken her to Gadv before you were born. Scary I can even remember that when now I can not remember what I did yesterday sometimes! STAY YOUNG!!!
  13. How about a second wave pool... Dorney Park has on which sees to help out there... plus I would like to see one like the one at Typhoon Lagoon where you would one giant wave every 90 seconds Another mat racer would also be nice... higher capacity .... my bad... thought you meant for water park (got too excited when I saw "water ride") I do miss the 2nd log flume though. I know that people are taking them out of the parks recently but it is always a nice ride to get away from the extreme thrill rides. I would like one with it partly indoors with some nice theming.
  14. We went later in August from Wed night to Sat morning... Did the park in 2 days (Thursday and Friday). Not too sure how weekends are there. We stayed at Breakers... cheapest room (we did not care) and was close to TGIF.
  15. I have gone both in mid June and Late May... Also stayed both on and off resort. I preferred late August and staying on resort. When you split the cost of the hotel room with other people it is worth the higher price. You also get in the park an hour early and can hit the selected rides that are open early then hit the other rides right when the park opens to the general public. We stayed 3 days and 2 nights. The park did close earlier (I believe 8pm) but we were able to hit all the coasters and some flat rides in one day. Hit the water park the next day and went back to the park later in the day. It was also easier when staying in the park since you can go back to the room at any time. We brought lunch meat and bread in a cooler and another cooler with "beverages" and left the in the room. That did save us money. Also when someone (not me) was not feeling well after riding some coasters (and had a few too much to drink the night before) he was able to go back to room while we stayed at the park. It was also nice to take break from riding and hit the beach during the afternoon to recoup.
  16. 3 of my favorite rides there!.. Was thinking about going this year also. We still might plan a weekend down in D.C. in December and still hit the park for 1/2 day.
  17. my daughter and I rode it 4 times in a row without getting off.
  18. At Six Flags New England they had a single rider line for Deja Vu... It saved us about 20 minutes after waiting 45 minutes. It also was able for us to ride all the coasters that day without getting a flash pass.
  19. So when will Kingda Ka and El Toro close for the season?
  20. Was planning to try and go with my wife this weekend but she can not go either day... My son is working both days and my daughter is in college. Looks like I might be going solo one day but just don't know what day...
  21. Nice trip report. Have not been at the park since 2007 and was planning to go this year but with my daughter getting ready for college and my dad staying with us for the summer, was not able to go... That actually was true for all the parks this year though. And now my son works at T.J. Maxx part time and usually works weekends so I don't know when I could get back to the parks again.
  22. Since I do the Christmas shopping I don't mind Black Friday. I will admit I liked it a lot better when stores where closed on Thanksgiving and open up at 5am on Friday. It was not as bad then but now from 4pm to midnight on Thanksgiving its crazy. A few years ago I was in Virginia and went to Peebles on Thanksgiving evening (There is not much where my dad lives). Next morning I drive to Henderson NC (45 minutes from my dad's house) and Walmart at 8am was almost empty. And they did have some deals left over. Also went to Game Stop and no one was in there either. Last year I went to Walmart here, Tmobile and gamestop Friday morning starting at 8am and they were all empty also. Then I headed to NJ and hit the Outlet mall by Gadv and it was packed so I went to Gadv to spend Black Friday there. I think since a lot of stores opened up on Thanksgiving it did not seem as bad Friday morning... but that could have been just me.
