Well my son got a second concussion Tuesday playing football in gym and was taken by Ambulance to Abington Memorial Hospital. Along with the concussion he also got a facial contusion and after blowing his nose his entire right side face swelled up with air and/or fluid having to take him right back to the ER. Went to an ENT doctor yesterday (on his 16th birthday) and Cat Scan looked OK along with his hearing, eyes and nose... Too bad... was planning to hit GADV this Sunday with him but now he is "grounded" from coaster riding for a while... which means I AM GROUNDED ALSO!

Does anyone know where I can get a roller coaster decal for across the back window of my car... I saw once a white silhouette of a wooden coaster about 12" high by 48" along the bottom of the windshield.

Not to compare or complain but how can Cedar Point get there new coaster (Valravn) up and running for the public before we can get The Joker ready? They have worse weather than us and its a much bigger coaster. This seems to happen a lot... I don't know if it also has anything to with each State regulations and procedures also.

I know would be difficult but I would like to see clips of areas during every generation. For example a clip of the main entrance, or like the area around Rolling Thunder from the 70's, 80's, 90's, 00's and this decade. they might only be a picture, or a quick video but have them as close to the same perspective as possible. I look at some of my photos from the 80's till now and like to see certain areas have changed. Image a family taking a photo in front the same spot every few years and seeing how the family (and background) changes.

Rumor on screamscape that they might add an indoor dark coaster or dark ride next year where Dinosaur Alive is at. Don't know how true that is however... The lack of rides is the main reason I don't get the season passes anymore. If I did I would get the platinum pass since I usually go to Kings Dominion every year (or every other year) but $200 pp is a lot. Last time I got the Max pass was 2007 for $99 pp at Dorney Park (other CF parks had it for $170 pp that year). CF should give this park a lot more love since its close to 2 major cities so they can compete with Gadv but space could be the main issue. I still like Stinger and Demon Drop (being 1st generation free fall) so I don't mind having those in the park so don't take them away to add something (that would defeat the purpose).

Scream Machine was underrated as Yoshi said. The last year it was open it was a lot smoother than years past. All it needed was some TLC. Kingda Ka seems overrated to me. I would never wait 45 minutes to ride it. If it is a walk on or a small wait, I will go on. However, I will wait 45 minutes for Top Thrill Dragster. Only having a lap bar and no OTSR makes the ride more thrilling (and it seems a lot smoother).

We were at the top and it seemed that it took longer for it to drop... Before it dropped we did feel it shake (not as much as we thought it would) and noticed KK coming up and around us. We were kind of "shocked" at that time and then it dropped at the same time KK was going down. The dropped surprised us because our minds were off the drop and instead watching KK going over us. So the drop felt more intense between the "unanticipated" drop and watching KK going down next to as we would going down.

We had the opportunity doing it the opposite way. We were on Zumanjaro and when we were at the top. KK went over our heads (empty) and we were dropped the same time KK was going back down.

I'm planning to go to Gadv this Sunday, a weekend before "bring-a-friend". Do you think it will be crowded? Hopefully people will wait till next weekend to go. But I also plan on going on the 8th so my kids can bring a friend.

I wanted to guess Enterprise 2, but thought it always went counter clockwise... My other guess would be Flying wave but I think I am also wrong with that.

My daughter Samantha just committed to Saint Johns University in NYC yesterday. After being accepted to 10 different colleges... she decided on SJU. Still close to GADV also! Only 1 and 1/2 drive for me also... PA turnpike to NJ turnpike to exit 13... She decided on the Staten Island campus, loves the smaller campus, 12-1 teacher/student ratio and apartment living instead of dorms.

Nice trip report and photos. Makes me want to go back this summer when I visit my dad in Virginia (he lives about 2 hours south at Lake Gaston). Have not been there in a few years and every time we went to the park it was either mid June or Late August and crowds were small. And even though we can visit for the day, most of the time we stay at the hotel on site and hit the water park the next day.

Wow, time has flown by. I swore I saw DC characters last year at the park but maybe it was the year before. They were by the the Heist.

I preferred the drive through since they opened up earlier and did not cut my coaster time. However I still like safari adventure for a nice break even though we only did it once.

I use http://www.coastercounter.com/#/ My family and I started to use this before they added the times you ride each coaster, so I only use it for rollercoaster count. I have been riding too long to remember how many times I rode each coaster.

Thanks for all the advise. Too bad they don't get there tickets till the day they go to each park. My daughter will be frustrated that she will have to wait on long lines. We are spoiled a lot since we go to Gadv mainly on Sunday mornings and very few times we have to wait. Found her schedule... basically...(booked from World Class Vacations) Friday April 8th...Hollywood Studios.. Fantasmic show at 8:30 Saturday April 9th... Magic Kingdom 1st 1/2, Epcot 2nd 1/2, Illuminations at 9 Sunday April 10th... Choice of water parks, Mini Golf or Theme Park of choice till 3pm, Group dinner at House of Blues, then back to theme park of choice or Disney Springs Monday April 11th... She picked the option for Universal Studios/Island of Adventure for the day Tuesday April 12th...Animal Kingdom till 3pm Note: they do have park hopping privileges to all four Disney Theme Park on all days Also any advise for Universal? She is NOT a Harry potter fan but I don't know if her friends are... She is trying to catching up on me for Coaster count also... The only ones in the Disney parks she has not been on is Everest and Seven Dwarfs... But at Universal there is 7 I believe I have not been on (last time I was there was 1995). I'm at 147 and she is at 129.

Yeah but you can't swim and lay on the beach on our Great Lake. LOL

Thanks Yoshi, Last time we went, we went to Typhoon Lagoon. The main reason was the wave pool... Instead of several small waves, it send one 6 foot wave every 60-90 seconds. Good enough to body surf. I don't think she has her tickets on hand since its a senior trip though.

My daughter is going to Disney World for her High School Senior trip on April 8th for 5 days. Trying to get some advise on a few things...and on a side note; they are not allowed to return to their room till the end of the day... Lockers... How much do they cost per day? She plans on wearing a (Great Adventure) fanny pack for her phone and wallet but she plans on possibly going from a theme park to a water park 1 or 2 days so she needs to bring her bathing suit and towel. Cubbies at rides? Is there a place where you can put your sports drink and or bags? She loves coasters and thrill rides... Pick 5 or more must do's at each park for her to go to 1st. Now she has been there in 11 years but she did ride Space Mountain and Rock-n-Roll (Everest was being built). Fast pass/track/lane... Cannot remember how it works now... Any advice? Any good apps besides "my Disney Experience" that would be useful? They don't have a meal plan but they have an allotted amount to spend each day and it does carry over into the next day if not all used. I already told her to split a meal with someone (we do this at GAdv also) but any must try places to eat? Any other unusual things to try that is off the beaten path? Wanted to do Tom Sawyer Island last time we were there but never did. Shows to watch... If she only did 1 or 2, what would be the best? Web sites to visit??? And is Touringplans.com worth it (app and web site)? I have given her my advise on certain things but since I have only been there 3 times and the last time was 2005, any other advice would be helpful. Thanks

They do have one by the main entrance where you collect your photos that I used when we got photos with the characters. Very easy to use.

Mine was also not working on Sunday. Received a survey from Gadv about the app and I informed them about it and also what improvements could be made. For example, it would have been nice to know what snack stands and restaurants were open so we would not walk all the way finding out they were not open.
