acq10uaz
I had heard that the ride wasn't entirely themed after the movie. After what GAdv posted to Facebook today: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=501...652.69421318512 I assume its going to be themed after this series of the comic... Up_Up_and_Away
I saw that, too; I just took it as making conversation.

CHILLERLC1
Now is the time for them to give a lot of updates since this is the real fun part of the installation.
Railer
I am still trying to figure out why the last Corkscrew will be yellow. The tunnels are before and after that element, maybe we will be going thru some sort of "zone" or something. What effect's do you think will be in the tunnels? Fog, Strobes, and some audio maybe? Some LED's like the "Bizarro" shield's would be really cool in a tunnel. And like "Bizarro" it will probably be better at night.
GAcoaster
Yes, that's the idea.
acq10uaz
Remember, it's Green Lantern with 'Stand Up to Your Fear' as it's tagline. Comic book fans know that Parallax stand's for fear and that the Green Lantern Corps. tries to fight against it. In the movie Parallax is the main villain. With the last inversion being yellow, and the special effects being centered around that inversion, I foresee some cool things with this coaster. Railer
New pics. up on the park's website (not Facebook) The lift hill look's to be almost completed.
Justin
^ Thats actually only about halfway up the lift hill. If you look at some older photos of Chang, you can see the placements of the supports and how it is only about halfway up.
gafreak
nice to see the progress, id say by the end of next weeki they will be done with the lift and start going doing the first drop
CHILLERLC1
It has a great lift arrangement. This ride doesn't have the crazy supports Dominator and even Bizarro has on the lift.
GAcoaster
The lift has been topped out...it's all down hill from here!
truepolak90
Is it me or is Eruption missing?
CoasterPete
If you look closely through Superman's lift hill supports, you can see Eruption. It's still there. Pete
gafreak
sweet! i like the progress, opening day should be memorial day, maybe sooner!
scipiomask
Yeah, Eruption is still there. I wish they'd change the name, it's nothing like an Eruption.
ThemeParkRider
Is opening day for the Green Lantern going to be a big deal? I tried to explain to my friend that if the line is really long, it isn't going to get any shorter and we might as well go on the other rides first.
Justin
^ I wouldn't wait in the line unless your determined to get on. Its probably going to take at least 2 hours. You should go to other rides first, or at least that is what I recommend.
Mr. Hot Dog
Remember, it's Green Lantern with 'Stand Up to Your Fear' as it's tagline. With the last inversion being yellow, and the special effects being centered around that inversion, I foresee some cool things with this coaster. That's an interesting factoid, but I'd have to say that concept/connection is definitely going to be lost on probably 98% of the general public. Still, the effects sound pretty neat... I'm certainly getting curious.
29yrswithaGApass
From our friends at Six Flags Great Adventure: Six Flags Great Adventure topped off the lift hill of Green Lantern, the new stand-up looping coaster set to debut late Spring, which coincides with the release of the new Green Lantern film starring Ryan Reynolds. The lift hill stands 154 feet tall. Green Lantern will rank among the tallest and fastest coaster of its kind anywhere in the world. Photo taken – Jan. 24, 2011 by Six Flags Great Adventure.
