Matt Kaiser
Also, how did you get in that picture, Matt? Did you attend the commercial shoot for b-roll footage? If so, how? Because I really want to be in one of those as I've heard you can get so many rides in it's ridiculous. People were getting 12+ rides at Twisted Colossus' commercial shoot! As most have said, the park invites people to the B-roll shoot. Usually they invite ACE and then ACE rounds up some riders via email. Riding also varies a lot. There is a LOT of waiting involved. You will probably spend a good 3+ hours just waiting around doing nothing. (waiting for weather to pass, getting the ride ready, setting up and moving cameras/shots, etc.) Some shoots are time constrained, so they film for a few cycles (maybe 5) and then have to end. CoasterFeed
Park Journey confirmed that the announcements will be around 2 AM PST, so around 5 AM for us. https://gyazo.com/71a348ba4997fe8abdbedde96bf003e1
Railer
I think that would be a bit of a let down. I didn't get to ride the one here when it was in place. It was in place during the 5 year gap I had in my season passes, when my daughter was too small for any rides. I think I would have enjoyed it. Ha, same here. I had about a 5yr "gap" when i turned 21 and didn't go to any "Theme Park's" that much. Was too busy at Casino's and Club's all over. Then i met my Wife, and found out she liked Coaster's so we got passes again. Now every year since 1996 i've had a pass again. So from about 91' to 96' was my 5yr "gap". Before that i was at the Park every season since opening weekend in 1974 when my parent's first brought me to the Park (i was 4) The 80's were my best and most fun times i had at the Park, it was really special back then. Meeting girls in the "Haunted Castle", then taking them on the "Musik Express" was a weekly ritual for us.

KK456
I'm perfectly OK with the announcement time. I have to wake up at 6 for school, so waking up 30 minutes or so early shouldn't be a problem

ScreamSource
We're all expecting it to be a Free Spin... but where did the rumor originate? Some survey that had the same ride for every park. Hmm... The park was been rumored to get a 4D before that, and it seems legit because a Free Spin would fit perfectly in the Lakefront. Also, the hints the park has sent out do lead to a free spin.

Tower
I'm extremely happy with the announcement time. I don't want to be sneaking on my phone during class to look at the announcements, then be two hours late posting them on my Instagram to be bombarded with comments saying "late". Railer
Less than 24hrs now, and not a single "clue", when most of the other Park's have done them. That tells me that either our PR Dept is on Vacation for the entire month, or what has been posted all over already is true, and any little "clue" would give it away. There can only be a few reasons why there are no clues this year, it's mostly the same PR Dept that was in place last year when they did them. I think maybe one person left and jumped over to Clear Channel with Angel since then (Kevin) but i think he even left before last year's "clue's". But i'm leaning toward's we have known what we are getting since May. I'm more curious to see if the "dueler" is coming anywhere else, and what theme GA settled on for the 4D. But 5am is a GREAT time for the video to be posted. Alot will be having Breakfast tomorrow morning watching the Video, and it will be "water cooler" talk all day. Adding this in an EDIT : But am i the only one that is wondering why the Park has made a Temp Pipe Production Facility in the Employee Lot? I know it must have something to do with the approval for the Water Treatment Plant "on property", but what is that for? A general infastructure upgrade? Do they plan on needing it for the new shop's/food options in the Lakefront? Or will be needed for next year if they plan on bringing back the Old Country, along with the new stuff in the Lakefront? Or are we looking at the beginning of planning for a MAJOR Hurricane Harbor expansion? It has to be for one of those reason's. The Water Pressure in the diff section's of the Park seem's good, not like they need it for what they have now. It has to be for some sort of eventual expansion. I'm thinking it's for Hurricane Harbor's eventual expansion, they hit capacity a few times this year, and i saw all the "suit's" from Corporate in Texas at the Harbor a few week's ago. Tower
My Prediction for Great Adventure Future: 2016: 10 Inversion 220ft S&S 4D Free Spin Coaster / Bonzai Pipelines for Hurricane Harbor (We were supposed to get them in 2012, but they were delayed for 2016) 2017: Justice League: Battle for Metropolis Dark Ride 2018: Premier Rides Dueling Launch Coaster in Old Country 2019: Flat Ride or Family Attraction 2020: Overall Park Improvements and Re Painting Some of the Coasters. This is just a predicition, so I may be wrong.
SFGadv123
Guess I gotta set my alarm for 445am tomorrow. Ah well I guess I got to start getting into the habit of getting up early for when school starts. Either way, I'm very excited for the announcement. I don't know why but I feel as though there is going to be something extra other than a coaster. At least I am hoping there is

cygnus12
We aren't getting an RMC. El Toro is basically on the same level as an RMC, if we were to get a Woodie we would get a GCI. Probably not, but my point stands that it would look nice by the lake. Better than a Free Spin at least. lol

Kevin left quite a few years ago, very shortly after Angel. As for the Water Treatment Plant, it was in the planning board minutes from July. It was sort of vague, so it is possible there's a larger reason, but here's what was said: Six Flags is paying for $5 million of the $10-$12 million project 2019 estimated completion date Will run water up and down 537 1.5 million gallons per day treatment plant Demo existing treatment plant Construct 1 million gallon tank, 70ft wide, 150ft tall Goal is to "meet long term needs of Jackson" "We would like to be in a position to serve 537 growth" "...yes, there was talk of a hotel near Great Adventure, and their water system wasn't sufficient." A big thing to remember here is that it's not entirely for the park, but for the township too. http://www.jacksontwpnj.net/documents/minutes/planning_board/2015/07-20-15.pdf Edited September 2, 2015 by Matt Kaiser
