Mr. Hot Dog
If you could zip back in time and ride any past Great Adventure ride, which one would it be? I'm personally really torn between Lightnin' Loops and Ultra Twister. I had countless chances to ride Lightnin' Loops, but I never had the nerve. I only saw Ultra Twister once from the top of the Sarajevo Bobsled lift, and it wasn't working that day. (Not that it mattered since I wouldn't have had the nerve then either.) For the record: I also passed on several chances to ride Shockwave, but I'm not too disappointed about that one.
GAcoaster
^ I rode them all I would want to ride the Supersidewinder again, but more than anything I wish I could go back in time just to take pictures of it all!
darkridedan
I missed a second shot at trying to get on Ultra Twister before Astroworld closed. I missed LL too. I think I would pick the train. I love train rides and I'm not sure if I ever rode it. Even if I did, I would want to ride it again!
29yrswithaGApass
If I had to pick one, the ride from GA's past that I would like to ride which I missed out on is the Gondola. For those unfamiliar with it, this antique switchback rodeo ride only operated for a very brief time and was located in the center of Fortune Festival (the Boardwalk) section. By the way, welcome Mr.Hot Dog - great ID name!
GAcoaster
^ I was going to go with that, but I have a feeling it wasn't open very often when it was there. Supersidewinder was just fascinating to watch with all those exposed gears above your head. The Train would have been interesting too, although it would be a tough choice whether I'd want to have ridden before or after the Moon Flume was added. Railer
I would have to second the Super Sidewinder as a ride I would love to ride again. But the one I miss the most is the Super Cat. I remember me and my Father riding that ride over and over again, and I loved it when the tarp enclosed the cars.
CablesEric
I never built up the nerve to when it was there, but I wish I had ridden Ultra-Twister. I also wish I could have been at the park in it's early years and see all of the original structures in their glory.
rcji
I would want to ride Shockwave or Sarajevo Bobsled.
The Master
Lucky for me I was able to ride Ultra Twister and Shockwave at SFAW before it was closed down. I probably would say the train since I never rode it because it was removed before I was born.
JetsDevs4Lyf
It would have o be Shockwave for me. It looks like m type of thing, but around the time it was in the park I wasn't doing a whole lot of that stuff. Today though I would be on it in a heartbeat. Great Adventurer
Batman and Robin: The Chiller! Staring me down all of 2007, wondering when I'd get in line... They never opened it to give me the opportunity.
Yoshi
Sarajevo Bobsled, bobsled coasters look like such a unique ride and I really want to try one.
GAcoaster
The Bobsled was unique, and was kind of scary, especially with the original cars that REALLY felt like bobsleds!
ChrisChavan
Welcome, Mr. Hot Dog, great topic! This is a tough one, I'm torn between a lot. Although all the coasters looked interesting, I probably would go with Jumpin' Jack Flash. It was such a unique ride, and I would've loved to had the chance to experience it. nbadude44
I'd probably ride Shockwave, Sarajevo Bobsled, Evolution, & Chiller.
PaulieGBones
I am lucky to have ridden most of the rides, that I wanted to, that have adorned the park since my first visit in 1974. Personally I would love to ride Viper again. The Sarajevo Bobsleds is another ride I miss very much. That was a fun ride. The ride I miss the most and wish I could ride over and over again is Freefall. I really dig that feeling of falling like that.
Matt
When I was younger I was afraid of Viper, could have had so many chances to ride it... Also I had the chance to ride Evolution too! Wish I took that opportunity, I was afraid it would fall off and roll into the lake! lmao I also wish I rode SM Freefall more! I miss that ride so much, but I did get to ride Jumpin Jack Flash, which I was proud of!
ThemeParkRider
Well, I have 2. Batman and Robin (after the restraint change) and Freefall. Both happen to be in the same area.
SFGAvip
I'd ride the Joust About because I heard it was the only type of that ride in the US. I'd love to know what it was like to ride it.
CoasterPrince
Batman:Chiller, Chaos, Time Warp, Evolution, Shockwave, Rodeo Stampede, Taz Twister, Sky Pilot, and Condor. I've ridden a Conor, Chance Chaos, Chance Inverter, and Huss Break Dance before but the atmosfear at Gadv would have been way better.
