Any updates from over there in Brazil? Curious to see how things are coming along!

Unfortunately we have no news. The park is waiting for an electronic music event to be held in November on the ground of the new roller coaster. We believe that only then can we see movements.

Althought I can't say 100 percent for certain, I would say with confidence they will be using the banked hills. The pieces for the rolls have long since been scrapped and to bring the rolls back would require fabrication of new support and track sections. It just doesn't seem worth the effort when the park could build the ride as it came and not have to worry about altering the pieces.

At the time of the ride's removal at our park the train running on the Robin side (Red side) had 5 cars. Each car had silver circles in the center of the cars. On the blue Batman side, there were 3 red cars for the train on the track. They each had black circles in the center of the cars. It was rumored that one of the cars from the Robin train was going to be added to the Batman train, making two 4-car trains. Sadly this never happened before the ride was removed. So in total at the end of things, The Chiller had 8 functioning cars. When the ride opened it had 10 functioning cars (Two five car trains) The ride always ran 5 car trains, BUT it was planned at the end of the last season to run two 4 car trains. When the ride opened it had and ran two five car trains. In 2006 two cars were damaged in an incident and put permanently out of service. The trains had a lot of changes so it's all a bit confusing. The ride can and did (although only in tests) run with a four car train though. However it seems like all the cars are at your park, 8 red cars. You may be confused with maybe pictures of a blue train on the chiller's tracks. That is in reality the red train now (the one with silver circles) It was painted red for the last season of operation.

Thank you... I knew about the red train (that was blue) ,but it's really a little bit confused...

I thought that there was only one train at the park, but they have confirmed 2 trains with 4 cars; all red.

I hope to see it running with 5 cars trains in each side.... tongue_smilie.gif

Nope that would be all the cars we had then. All red at the time the ride was removed. I would hope they spend the extra money and get the 2 extra cars, the capacity of the ride really needs it. But if both sides are open, unlike at our park the majority of the time, the capacity will be much better.

Just went to Great Adventure this weekend (June 8). The Chiller's station gets creepier every time I go. I wonder what it's like inside? I bet its all rusted and worn down from the elements since they left all the openings in it open. I don't think it has too much time left. If it weren't for Fright Fest I bet it wouldn't be there. BTW has anyone been to Insanity: Gears of the Mind during Fright Fest? Do you know if you go inside the station? I haven't been, but I heard someone say that. I know you go through the que, but inside the station is a whole different scenario. I hope the Chillers doing well in Beto Carrero World, I haven't heard anything on that lately. I posted some pictures of whats left of the chiller the Chiller in my content, its pretty cool.

Its pretty empty inside. Nothing spectacular. Also as for going in it for fright fest you do not, you just go thru the queue and the entrance goes along the back side of what was the station but you do not go into the building at all.

forreal. what is the situation with the building? is there plans in the works? or is it just for decoration until they finally scrap it? so much potential... and such a beautiful structure with so much theme its a shame to see it go to waste..

I find it pretty intriguing that those plans show the zero G rolls in them. We can only assume if they went through the trouble to make two models, both including the zero gs, that perhaps they will bring the coaster back with the rolls. I don't see why they would make a model with them unless it is some sort of model that came with the ride when they purchased it. Bear in mind though the model that was at IAAPA a few years back showed the ride without the rolls.

I suppose it's not too far fetched to think they could bring them back. Premier probably still has the original plans with the rolls and possibly could re-use the old computer programs to have the same pieces in the rolls re-manufactured. From a cost standpoint, it seems silly - they already have all the pieces there to complete the track, and the vast majority of the general public would be lured to the ride with or without the rolls. But from a "badass" standpoint, it would be a killer idea to put them back in!
