Coaster Kang Posted November 12, 2015 Report Share Posted November 12, 2015 They had the Pendulum ride behind the Autobahn. That's similar to a Frisbee, but I think that'll make a good fit. Flying Scooters can also make a great fit in Adventure Alley, as long as they're good as the ones in Knoebels and Carowinds. But a roller coaster for 2019 or 2020 should also be added in the abandoned Movie Town/Old Country section. For a show in the Showcase Theater, they should keep a magic show, and Ghoulmaster/Hypnosteria, but I think they need some shows that are out in public paths, but are not animal shows. We already have a good amount of animal shows, but we are really lacking in play like shows. And the Batman Stunt Arena should be used again for a new Batman show. Well that's because afeter 7 years of not using the building, some wild animals tore through the building. It could cost a lot of money to repair the near 20 year old structure. When I was there for GADV Online day this year, that's where we started out. They had multiple tables/chairs in there with ride op manuals.. So that's where they do some of the training. As far as rides in the future, we will probably never see Flyers there because it seems like they are mainly in CF parks.. And to the one person above who mention the Air Race in Coney Island, they have them on Casino Pier in Seaside Heights...no need for them at GA. I'd honestly like to see the JL dark ride be added since it seems to be a big hit and we don't have anything of that nature in the park. As far as 2018, that's probably a good year for another coaster... maybe something like Thunderbird at Holiday World.. or maybe something like Gatekeeper at CP. Railer Posted November 17, 2015 Report Share Posted November 17, 2015 (edited) Now this is WAY too big to be for "Total Mayhem", and since most if it besides the Track is already in the Park, it's not for that. Now i've heard that the Park rented some space to Amazon to store Trailers, and there are alot of Trailers already in the Employee Lot. (i thought that the Trailers in the Employee Lot could be for all the decorations for HITP before i heard the Amazon rumor) But i work at Amazon in Robbinsville now, i will try and find out on that end. But with this section that is closed off, and it's location, it's just another thing that could be pointing to them doing The Water Plant, and start 2017 at the same time since they are both the same area. And another note on the Water Plant, they stopped making those Pipes in the Employee Lot also, and there are none stored there anymore. I'm thinking they may have even been for "Carribean Cove", that kind of attraction requires ALOT of Pipes for all the different Water Element's. Curious to see what is there, if anything is this weekend. As we can see, it allows for far fewer supports than a traditional steel coaster, and the elenents look insane. What I also noticed is the concept art looks a lot more similar to the animation sent out by SF in the attraction survey last year than I imagined. Since RMC said they already have suitors, and considering SF's relationship with RMC and their willingness to develop their prototypes, I feel even more confident this will be our next coaster (for '17, '18 or '19 the latest). The info I heard was around 2,000 feet long and easy to clone at a low cost. Could be a family coaster, but from the sounds of "it would only need to be designed once" and cloned to many parks, I think an RMC version of Lightning Run or Intamin's mega lites is in the works. It was just a comment on how awesome the concept art looks. The benefits of this track type is it can go longer distances without being supported, as well using less connectors and other small things. This will make installation cheaper, more simple, and give them more freedom to build in difficult areas/terrain since the ride will utilize less footers/supports than a traditionsl steel coaster. Outside of the New Texas Giant, every RMC project has had inversions. And every park that's built one of these coasters in the SF chain has multiple coasters with inversions. Most have three or four already before the RMC coaster. It's a new experience and that's what parks are looking for. If you want to build an extreme adult steel coaster, unless you're going for a giga coaster, these days you're looking at inversions in all likelihood.
