29yrswithaGApass
Another good guess. There was (is) one close by but not on that site.
Josh Davidson
The Pysclone was oringinally planned for Medusa's spot, but the project was moved to Six Flags Magic Mountain. I also believe the coaster was approved to be built too? But before that, no idea whats so ever. Hmm, more trees? Or maybe the arena or RMT was suppose to go more back there. Probably it would have been something like Six Flags Great America's Viper. Another Cyclone like ride that was elaboratly themed. Luis L. JetsDevs4Lyf
The only other thing I can seem to remember being in that general area would have to be Ultra Twister. If not I will let some other people get a chance in haha
29yrswithaGApass
Nope, the Ultra Twister was next to Rolling Thunder.
JetsDevs4Lyf
Thought so but couldn't quite pinpoint it in my head and I knew it was on that side of the park. Well let's see if someone can get it now I'm rather interested.
av8r296
I know there was a building back there that they used for season pass processing once. I also believe they used that building for some kind of time share sales or something like that.
29yrswithaGApass
^That building is still there (to the right of Medusa's entrance directly behind the Northern Star Arena). It's used by security now.
MarioSonic94
I'll throw a few out here. These are some BIG name movies that WB released in the early 90's, late 80's Robin Hood Who Framed Roger Rabbit Space Jam Beetlejuice Roger Rabbit wasn't a Warner Bros. movie, although it had Warner Bros characters Luis L. BuddyChrist
Roger Rabbit wasn't a Warner Bros. movie, although it had Warner Bros characters Luis L. Roger Rabbit was a joint movie between many studios and companies and Warner was one of them. As for the Medusa question, back there used to be tables and chairs, like a dining area. That's just a wild guess though.
29yrswithaGApass
Here are a couple of hints: - What was there was not accessible to the general public but a support-type facility. - It was significant enough that it had to be bulldozed. Just a wild quess. A maintenance garage for all the park's vehicles. Tires, tune up's, ect.
29yrswithaGApass
Here's the answer..... you were all getting close. The land occupied by Medusa was used by the Landscaping Department. The building in the distance in the photo below housed the Landscaping & Design offices. At one time the building also was used as an Engineering & Maintenance facility and by the park's Fire Department. Greenhouses were also once found on the site as well as used as a containment area for animals featured in early shows at the Great Arena (Northern Star Arena). 29yrswithaGApass
QUESTION #16: This next question is in honor of the recently opened Wizards & Dragons Black Light Mini-Golf. From 1991 to 1994 Great Adventure had a miniature golf course located in the Woodland Gardens section of the park to the right of the Yum Yum Palace (Great Character Cafe). Below is a picture of the ticket booth at the entrance to the course. Where in the park is this booth now located? (Note: It is not in any backstage or employee-only area, or boneyard)
