29yrswithaGApass
^ Yep, it promoted buying a 2010 pass now and being able to use it at the park for the rest of 2009. And welcome to GAH!
Chiller
After being open daily since May, I wonder if the Safari animals wonder where all the cars are this morning being the park is closed? They are probably glad that the cars are not there.

GAcoaster
I just saw a review of a new iPhone app that let's you play Skeeball! Click for the review and link to the app! It's funny because the reviewer talks about his past working in the Skeeball Barn at GA

29yrswithaGApass
The Wizard of Oz comes out on Blu Ray tomorrow with 4 hours of bonus footage. I am curious to see what they say about Mervyn LeRoy.
GAcoaster
I realized the other night that The Wizard of Oz movie was 35 years old 35 years ago when the park opened...it's an interesting convergence with the whole celebration of the movie at Tavern on the Green the other day, and it featured a balloon:

CoasterPrince
It was in the FF parade. The ghouls would hang off of it. I think it used to be in the daytime parade too.

29yrswithaGApass
Weather-wise, this weekend has been the best in several months - no rain. It figures it would happen after Great Adventure closed.
MarioSonic94
Anyone agree that this guy is kind of an idiot for thinking that security can escort him to the front of the line? Mike13
Anyone agree that this guy is kind of an idiot for thinking that security can escort him to the front of the line? For a supposed enthusiast type of guy,I don't know what he expects,he wouldn't get to go to the front of the line at any park... Yoshi
I think he does have a point. If he waited in the metal detector line, the pass doesn't work and then has to wait in yet another line at Guest Relations, to have to wait in the metal detector line again would be annoying. I don't see why they couldn't have helped him out. It's not like he was trying to cut the line since he did wait through it once.
pashacar
I came across that video a while ago. As much as he overreacted, he certainly does have a point, although I'd be surprised if the lines were really more than 5 minutes long since I haven't seen lines at the ticket takers/metal detectors all year, even on very busy days. gafreak
all the lines are at the purchase windows, ive seen wait times up to an hour to buy tickets to get in Edited November 9, 2009 by gafreak
The Master
In past years I have seen front gate lines so long that they merge into the ticket booth lines with no place for season pass holders to go. Thankfully I didn't see lines that bad this year (2009).
pashacar
Yup that was a common problem in past years. I haven't seen anything like that in a while, and the longest I've waited to get in this year was just a couple of minutes, even when the park was mobbed.
