You Know What Really Grinds My Gears?

You know what really grinds my gears?

When celebrities break the law and get off the charges because of their celebrity status.

They are people just like the rest of us and deserve the same treatment when it comes the laws of the land.

Paris Hilton gets a DUI and is sentenced to 45 days and she was out within 24 hours because the Warden said she was all stressed out.

She eventually went back and served what? 20 days of a 45 day sentence? That's crap.

I got a DUI back in April of 2008. I was sentenced to 7 months loss of driving privileges, 16 hours of some stupid class, over $1000 in fines and surcharges of $1000 a year for three years.

Did the judge let me get away with half my sentence?

Did I get a reduced fine?

Did my surcharge get erased and my driving record cleared?

NO!

I walked almost everywhere from June 9, 2008 (the day of the court case) until January 5, 2009, paid the entire fine and am still paying for almost 2 more years on the surcharges. Plus my insurance rate will sky rocket within the next year or two.

Paris Hilton got a new line of clothing, a new house, a new car, probably made another porn video with someone elses boyfriend again and had her DUI expunged from her record.

I had a blood alcohol level of .08 which is the legal limit in the state of New Jersey and it was my first and only serious driving offense in 23 years.

Paris Hilton had a blood alcohol level of .19 which over twice the legal limit in California and it was her third offense in California and fourth offense overall in less than 10 years of driving at the time of the latest incident.

Celebrities should be treated the same as the rest of us.

The only thing worse is the people who have nothing else in thier life other than to join the media circus and follow her around and gather in crowds in front of her house to see her cry. And the only thing sadder than that are the losers who sit on edge to buy the magazine with the pictures in it!!!!!

In general I hate how so many people are so focused on celebrities. Who really cares what kind of dress someone wore to an awards show or where they shop. The only problem is that because so many people are interested in that kind of stuff if I hear a name brought up, I usually have no idea who it is.

This is one I can't stand. When people back up Kingda Ka's line because they fail to realize that the back part of the station is pretty much the same thing! I constantly point it out to people, and most of them just ignore me and continue waiting... Then we have to wait to get launched when the ride operator confirms what I just said! I always thank the operator in this case, but it's hard to do it with a smile since these people make me so angry! :Z7:

All the hype over hybrid cars which do not have as good MPGs as regular cars did 15 years ago! Also if you are concerned about driving green they drive whatever car you already have and keep it as long as it lasts because keeping an areadly built car on the road causes less pollution than buying a new car. Manufacturing a whole new cars creates a whole lot of pollution.

Yesterday was the premiere of my school's play. When I complimented on this girl's performance, she snapped at me for no apparent reason. That girl sure has the mannerisms of an actress: snotty, smug, and is a total b**ch.
